I am not going to believe in evolution unless I see it happen. If evolution were true we would be seeing it. I want my mind powers like Professor X, where are my mind powers?

"I'm not going to believe i radiation unless I see it happen. If radiation was real, then we would be sing it. I want to be green and strong like Hulk, where are my superpowers?" And then jmsnooks went into a nuclear power plant without any proction and ended up dying a slow horrible death from radiation-sickness. The end.
Sorry, you need an INT of 25 to get mind powers. You are just 24 points short.
According to D&D rules (which I am guessing you are referenceing), Intelligence < 3 means the creature cannot speak at all. INT > 9 means the creature can speak intelligently.
So jmsnooks would actually be 16 - 22 points off.
It´s a troll. You know, you can´t see God. Second, there are fossiles, DNA proofs,...............you can´t see a process that takes MILLIONS OF YEARS to take place.
I used to tell my students that I could move things with just the power of my mind. Things like my hands, my feet, my mouth, etc. In other words, jmsnooks does have evolved mind powers; his mind is functional enough to run his body.
It is not, alas, functional enough to know what to do with a comma.

Come play in my lab, snooks. I'll show you evolution. However, you do not get mind powers. In fact, it's very likely you'll get brained instead. Fortunately, I see this as an improvement for you.

Ever seen a wolf? Ever see a dog? If the answers to these are "yes," then you have seen the results of evolution -- not enough for completely independent speciation, but clearly enough to indicate mutations inherited by descent. If you insist on seeing complete speciation, you might see about getting a tour of a laboratory where that is done.
"If evolution were true we would be seeing it."
Guess what? Scientists who study it have seen it and documented it many times. And haven't you ever heard of antibiotic-resistant bacteria? That's a blatant example of evolution.

Oh, dear. The jokes just write themselves sometimes, don't they?

One needs a mind for it to have powers. A feeble mind, standing only with the crutch of faith, would never have a chance of developping.
We atheists bend spoons and other silverware daily with our minds. We just don't want you to get all jealous and uppity by showing you.
If you don't believe me, PROVE that there's no such thing as mind powers you can't see or detect!
(oh look, faith!)
Chan: Next time someone says that, tell them that in the comics, mutants are actually the result of genetic tampering of humans by the Celestials thousands of years ago, not natural evolution.
*Nerd fact of the day
And, yet you'll believe in God, Jesus, resurrection, Xian immunity to poison, cures by touching an apron, a fiery chariot in the sky, a talking snake, a talking donkey, a talking burning bush, a giant flying roll that burns the houses of thieves, people walking on water, etc. with no evidence whatsoever.
Evolution is happening all around you. Sometimes you'll need a microscope and an I.Q. higher than your shoe size to see it though.
I can't believe this hasn't been posted yet....

And I guess you'd want X-ray specs if you were blind, too....
Stupid fundie! Marvel is fiction just like Jayzus.
As a loyal Marvel zombie, I have to protest: Marvel is honest fiction, it never seriously claimed to be real or scientific. Please don't lump them with religious charlatans...
D Laurier : in the Marvel Universe, the Celestials visited the Earth several times and experimented on primitive humans, creating ofshoots of humanity (Eternals and Deviants) and implanting the potential for radical mutations in the DNA of mainstream humanity.

Well, that's pretty much my reaction for 95% of what ties in to the Disassembled/House of M/Decimation/Civil War crossovers agglomerate. There have been a few enjoyable spin-offs (X-Factor for HoM/Decimation, for example), but overall I'm getting really, really tired of the state of permanent, bad mega-crossover. Let's not even touch continuity and delays issues... the only recent Marvel crossover I enjoyed thoroughly was Annihilation (well, except for Quasar's throw-away and senseless death).
I'm finding myself more and more of a DC man, these days (even if they also dropped the ball a bit with the end of Infinite Crisis). In my book Marvel would be doing itself a big service by firing Bendis and Quesada...
If you want to discuss comics, I'm often on the Comics and Graphic Novels Board on GamesFAQS as manekineko.
According to scientists, there are cosmic rays.
In Fantstic Four#1, the Richards family got super-powers by going into space.
Neil Armstrong can't stretch, turn invisible, set himself on fire without harm and has no rocky skin.
Therefore cosmic rays don't exist.

Absolutely silly as an evolution criticism, yet par for the course as a devianTARD comment.
Most evolution takes place over so long, or is so gradual, that one would really have to be paying attention to see it "in action", in cases where such is even possible.
If I am showing any ignorance on it myself, bring it to my attention and I will rectify my position accordingly.
We are seeing it; we can't help if you keep your eyes tight shut when you go outdoors.
Btw, most evolution happens on a fairly grand scale; ten, fifty, perhaps a hundred generations before you see real change.
I have lots and lots of mind power; I can think, imagine, read, write, walk, see, hear, love, laugh, enjoy eating and drinking, etc, etc.
It's sad that you feel you have no power in your mind.
Why don't you just go stare at a mountain for a hundred years and see if a volcano erupts while you're watching? If you just pick your mountain at random, it's unlikely to happen - yet we know some erupt somewhere every year. Similarly, things have been evolving somewhere while you weren't looking.
As for your mind power, I don't know where it is, but I know where it isn't.
Confused?
