Next year, will the Schaumburg librarians display photos of empty shelves where books that challenge Leftist assumptions about the nature and morality of homosexuality should be (you know, pro-heterosexuality/pro-heteronormativity books)?
Will they ask for young adult (YA) novels about teens who feel sadness and resentment about being intentionally deprived of a mother or father and who seek to find their missing biological parents?
Will they ask for dark, angsty novels about teens who are damaged by the promiscuity of their “gay” “fathers” who hold sexual monogamy in disdain?
Will they ask for novels about young adults who are consumed by a sense of loss and bitterness that their politically correct and foolish parents allowed them during the entirety of their childhood to cross-dress, change their names, and take medication to prevent puberty, thus deforming their bodies?
Will they ask for novels about teens who suffer because of the harrowing fights and serial “marriages” of their lesbian mothers?
Will they ask for picture books that show the joy a little birdie experiences when after the West Nile virus deaths of her two daddies, she’s finally adopted by a daddy and mommy?
Surely, there are some teens and children who will identify with such stories.

Well, if you don't like the books out there, Laurie, why don't you write and self-publish your goofy idea for a story?
"Will they ask for young adult (YA) novels about teens who feel sadness and resentment about being intentionally deprived of a mother or father and who seek to find their missing biological parents?"
Wanting to know more about one's biological parents is perfectly understandable but it doesn't actually have anything to do with the adoptive parents orientation.

By the numbers lesbians are one of the most monogamous groups in society. Certainly more so then Bible belt Fundies, funny how that works.

What the FUCK is wrong with you?
Sure. Go ahead and provide some, especially those based on actual well documented cases and statistics.
I won't be holding my breath.
S-So. West Nile Virus is supposed to be like HIV for birds...?

The only people who would identify with such stories are the demented loons who are part of these "Family Institutes." Where the only families that count consist of 2.5 kids and a mom and dad who are married to each other.
And what did your presumably straight mum and dad do wrong for you to turn into such an insufferable bigot?
ETA: the suggestion that a child may be happier thabks to their parents dying and them being adopted by someobe else fucjing sickens me!
Her rebuttal of the criticism is pure gold:
"The claims that I wish “the death of parents” and advocate the deaths of people I “deem unworthy” are both peculiar and false. I described a story in which a bird lost her homosexual parents and was subsequently adopted by a father and a mother. There was nothing in my description that expressed a wish for or advocated the deaths of parents. The bird’s joy results from her adoptionnot the deaths of her parents. If I were to suggest a picture book about a child who experiences joy at being adopted by a young mother and father after the deaths of her grandparents who had been raising her, would I be accused by anyone of wishing for or advocating the deaths of grandparents? I suspect not, which points to the kind of ideological oppression the Left seeks."
Except that there's nothing in the article that implies otherwise. Nowhere in the article do you claim it to be some sort of avian "Annie", only that the bird--who may not even realise the implications of such a relationship--would be happy being raised by a mother and a father.
Also, where is it written that lesbians may not hire a "manny" if they want a male influence in their child's life? Certainly, there's going to be a point where the parents just can't answer the questions their child is inevitably going to have.
Librarians usually fight for ALL books to be available. Fiction books, like the ones you talk about, in the Fiction department, and scientific books in the respective science department.
No, books about teenagers with dead-beat dads or moms will still be there, and books about adopted teenagers.
No, the dark, angsty novels about teens who are damaged by the promiscuity of their "straight" "fathers" who hold sexual monogamy in disdain will still be there.
No, books about young adults forced to dress according to gender-roles that feel wrong, will still be there.
No, the books about teens who suffer because of the harrowing fights and serial "marriages" of their heterosexual mothers will still be there.
No, there will still be lots and lots of books about the joy a little birdie experience when, after losing her parents, she is finally adopted by new parents.
No, we'll just replace them with books about how stupid, bigoted, intolerant, and uncaring homophobes are. You know, like people who wish for gay parents to die so that their children can be adopted by a heterosexual couple.
@Professor von SCIENCE!!!
[To the tune of Jesus Loves Me]
Gays are icky,
This I know,
For the Chick Tracts told me so,
Little ones do not belong,
With two dads or with two moms,
Yes, gays are icky,
Yes, gays are icky,
Yes, gays are icky,
The Chick Tracts told me so!

You're a complete moron. The couple that adopted the child are not the ones depriving them of parents. That blame lies entirely on the parent(s) that put him/her up for adoption.
Preventing gay couples from adopting won't give them straight parents. It will give the child no parents.

Depriving them of gay parents won't give them straight parents. It'll give them no parents.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
