Faith will have served it's purpose when the last bit of intelligence has faded away from this universe

Mr. Poe, that's my name, that name again is Mr. Poe.
Kudos to anyone who can spot the reference.

Simpsons - Moe Syzlack (Spelling) when he changed the bar into a restraunt.
Where are my kudos?
Extra points for spotting the reference
Fundies are often accusing their opponents of having "agendas".
I wonder - since I've seen statements like this before many times, I wonder if this is part of the Fundie Agenda?

"Simpsons - Moe Syzlack when he changed the bar into a restaurant."
Close, but no cigar.
The original reference is to "Mr. Plow", a slow-plow service Homer started up for all of one episode.
"Faith will have served it's purpose when the last bit of intelligence has faded away from this universe"
Yep, and there will be some fundie under a banner that reads "Mission Accomplished" when that day comes
@Blackvoice: "Well, there still will be dolphins. I hope."
No, not really. They will have ascended to a higher form of consciousness by then.
The path to enlightenment isn't through prayer and quiet meditation, it's through eating fish, saving divers, beating up sharks, and raping your friends in the blowhole.
Fundism in a nutshell. For once a fundy speaks truth. There is no intelligence involved with faith. And that the purpose of faith is to destroy intelligence. And to think, we let these people run around without someone keeping watch over them, or at least, they need to be on a leash.
Okay, NOW I'm just praying that INTELLIGENCE wins out.
And WTF is "ramanon"? Is it a support group for people who like ramen noodles a bit too much?
Are you seriously trying to undo something I've been struggling to perfect for millions of years??
FUCK YOU. I didn't give you intelligence so you could just throw it away in total disregard for everything I and the rest of the human race have done for you.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
@ dpareja: probably. FSTDT seems to get a lot of mistake quotes like this.
But this is what some religious people actually think, just condensed.
This person did not use the whole quote!
"Faith will have served it's purpose when the last bit of intelligence has faded away from this universe, without faith in something we are nothing. I'm sorry that you feel that way."
Fixed.
This was in response to pharmacists who have a specific belief that they will not give out the morning after pill by a pharmacist who shares that view. His analogy was "I mean we wouldn't force a Hindu to cook a hamburger would we?" No, we wouldn't force any Hindu to do that, because that situation is contrived.
If are gonna be a pharmacist, who do give out morning-after-pills, but it goes against your religion, you didn't think very far ahead, did you.
And in response to "without faith in something we are nothing", I feel sorry for the person who thinks that. I don't have faith in any gods, yet I don't think I am nothing at all. A person who depends on something that who have to have the will to believe it is true even though it may not exist is in itself pathetic.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
