Re. the sexuality of Buchanan and Theodore Roosevelt: It was entirely irrelevant to his abilities as President if Buchanan was straight, gay, bisexual, or asexual, and the historical evidence is equivocal (go see Wikipedia). Likewise for Roosevelt, but in his case I can find no serious suggestions that he was gay - you do understand that The Onion is a joke newspaper, right?

Now I can see exactly why the Founding Fathers - in drawing up the very document that would become the legal basis of what is now the USA and what it represents: Freedom; Equality for ALL, via Rule of Law - Laws which guarantees rights for ALL it's citizens, regardless of race, colour, beliefs - or lack of such - and even lifestyles. As one of said Founding Fathers - and 1st President George Washington said (emphasis added):

And of course, in said foundation document, the US Constitution - no doubt taking into account what'd happened in Salem previously - they were extremely careful, no doubt thinking ahead into the future, to omit the words 'God', 'Jesus' and 'Creator'; certainly 'Marriage'. Because they'd known about societies where religion & politics were allowed to mix: people were burned at the stake. Thus 'Separation of Church and State' (as in 'We don't tell you how/who to worship, you don't have the right to tell us how to run the country.') - as a reaction against the country they'd originally rebelled against: Britain, with it's state religion, the Church of England, and it's monarch at the time.

Now, I ask you: what possible harm does what two adult, consenting men do in the privacy of their own bedrooms, or more people given access to healthcare (a la the National Health Service here in the UK), or even a person who doesn't believe in your 'God', do to your country...? I have no problem with humorous images. The point is that you deliberately chose to portray our African-American first lady as speaking in ebonics, which is a specific stereotype of black people. It's not the same when a white person is depicted speaking in ebonics because it's not a stereotype whites have ever faced or that has been used for decades to ridicule their intelligence. In fact, it's a novelty: "Oh look. A white guy speaking in ebonics like a dumb negro. Oh how cute." I find this whole conversation degrading and you know that I do not even support the Obamas politically - but show some respect. I demand an apology.
