It's always fascinating to Google the names of children in the grips of same-sex couples. You'll be surprised at how much information there is about them, despite their guardians' attempts to keep it a secret. You might even find the names of their real parents.

Try it sometime. Of course, the opposition is too afraid to do so.

I know the hackneyed, knee-jerk reaction here is going to be 'if you want to keep it private, keep it off the web'. And that's true, to some extent. But no matter how tech-ascetic of a life you attempt to live these days, inevitably some information about you is going to wind up on the web against your will. And this level of scrutiny isn't "harmless googling" so much as cyber-stalking with intent to harass.

Also, here's a brief lesson on "offensive" words like 'cunt'. Good for everyone, including feminists, or just people who like to moan about 'political correctness'. The word, by itself, is just a plosive sound. What matters is its context and use. (For example, I doubt many feminists would take exception to me calling Vox Day a complete cunt.)

I recently drove to Maryland. Contrary to my expectations, there was no general civil unrest. Catholic churches were not boarded up, Baptist ministers weren't in handcuffs, and children weren't crying by the side of the road wondering which of their two daddies they didn't need (or however that goes). Disheartened heterosexuals were not lined up at the courthouses to get divorces. There was no fire and brimstone, the pavement was dry because the state hadn't sunk into the sea. The schools didn't even have lewd curricula!

This is scandalous, because when people from my state drive to our neighboring state, they will see that absolutely nothing bad happened at all.

Rear Window, your comprehension sucks. I have already said I am seventy ( well, almost), a woman, straight, and celibate. Children of my generation were frequently raised by people who weren't their parents, because their parents were dead. Sometimes they were raised by one man, sometimes by one women, sometimes by more than one of either or both. At least they weren't in orphanages, and most of them grew up to be contributing members of society. The grounds on which you are objecting seems to be that some of these adults have sex with each other. So do heterosexual parents. Decent people, of whatever persuasion, don't have it in front of the children. What decent people do in front of children is model considerate and loving behavior.

Reynardine, it's more than simply sex. Children need both male and female influences to thrive and grow. According to the Kabbalah, God himself ultimately includes both male and female characteristics and the secret of life is balancing these traits, which are in all of us. Before Eve was removed from his rib, Adam was a hermaphrodite. In the sex act, a heterosexual couple brings male and female energies together and becomes "one flesh" again for a moment, which results in the creation of life.

@Reynardine, also, please forgive me for insinuating you were gay. I misread an earlier post and thought you had indicated you were male, which is why I was wondering why you had a woman's name.

Rear, all children have male and female influences. A good many war orphans of my generation were raised by a mother and an aunt, a mother and a grandmother, an aunt and a grandmother. Somewhat fewer were raised by, say, a father and a grandfather or by an unmarried uncle. In those days, most teachers were female until you got to junior high; the majority of principals and almost all the cops on foot patrol were male, and public schools in the United States seldom had any sex segregation except in shop, home e,c, and upper-grade gym classes. You do not grow up in a Western society without influences from both sexes. Purported Adam, purported Eve, and the Kabala can have no legitimate influence on our laws.

The names of the children born - by surrogate mothers - of Elton John and David Furnish. Frankly, the names of their same-sex fathers are the least of your problems, Barbie. Yes, I did as you said: Google the names of children in the 'grips' of same-sex couples. I refer you to the last one, and it's Biblical meaning.

P-G, PC, PPS, NRE, you would do well to heed the warning(s) in the above link. As in your 'opinions' on the matter are being judgemental, there's only one who can be, and you don't have the right to. Just going by what your precious 'Word of God' says, which must be obeyed literally word-for-word, letter-for-letter; and no 'cherrypicking' and/or '(re)interpretation' allowed, neither. Said 'Word' is either literal throughout, or it's lies throughout.

I Googled mine too (not revealing what it is; if there's one thing I've learned: never give out your real name on the internet. Too many weirdoes [I refer you to our current crop of trolls] out there, and all that jazz).

I share the same surname as a bestselling author (and quite a few times, when asked for my surname and give it, they've replied 'Are you related to ******...?' and I say 'I wish!'); but before the internet (as we know it) existed, I'd researched the origin of my name, genealogically: It's basis is of a Norman knight who came to Britain in 1079.
