I think I speak for all of us when I say that sometimes, having a sense of morality can really take the satisfaction out of life - I'm sure we all felt an urge to drag this guy from behind a truck through a bramble field at some point whilst reading this crap. Technically speaking (in Britain at least) having sex with 16 year olds does not make you a paedophile. Sad, lonely and desperate, maybe, if you're a middle-aged man, but not actually a paedophile. In any case, what about men who have sex with underage girls? Does that mean that heterosexuality and paedophilia go together like 'stink and shit'? No, of course not. At the moment, in Canada, the legal age of consent is 14. Too low in my opinion and there are initiatives to have it raised to 16. Technically, that means that you cannot be a pedophile (or more accurately a pederast) if you have relations with an individual old enough to give consent.

First of all. He was not a senator, he was not a pedophile(all his lovers WORKED in the Republican headquarters that, as far as I know, can´t hire minors), and the problem is that it was an issue when one or two of the cases were not consensual. Ah, and because Republicans have made homosexuality an issue and it has backfired against them.
