"How can we stay silent when they continue killing millions of babies?!"
This again:
BABY
Ordinary definition: What a fetus becomes at birth.
The definition used by Adam Ford & co: What an egg becomes at fertilization.
I suspect Adam's one of those "Keep the baby! Keep the- What, you want welfare and decent housing? No, you should have kept your legs closed, lazy slut! Stop forcing us taxpayers to pay for you!" type of people?
Did you march with the Nazis, or against them? Did you vote for Trump, or against him? Actions speak louder than words, Adam.
Way to trivialise the horrors of totalitarian oppression.
According to my mother, back then someone in the village said in private that he didn't agree with what the Nazis did to the Jews. He was so terrified when he realised the danger that remark might have gotten him that he fled into the woods and lived there for an extended time.
In the modern USA, on the other hand, countless fanatics and authoritarians make often rather lucrative careers out of inciting moral hysterias and even against the very fundamentals of freedom and modern civilisation.
What is it with these people and comparing abortion to Nazi Germany? I'm not a fan of abortions either, but what the fuck? Fuck's sake, it's like they missed the part where people had dangerous illegal abortions when it wasn't legal, and are having safe ones in clean environments now. Even if I disapprove, if you're going to do it, do it right, and fuck anyone that wants to go back to the illegality days.
Godwin in the first degree. Fucking tools...
So, since you're so against the murder of millions of fetuses babies, you're going to make sure there's someone to help support the child after it's born, right?
You aren't? Damnedest thing. It's almost like you don't actually give a fraction of a shit about children. It's almost like you just see them as a tool to use against women for daring to think they deserve bodily autonomy.
Also, was the Holocaust even common knowledge in 1942? I seem to recall that being a big shock for us to discover after the war.
History time: While many American leaders and citizens suspected something was up, the US didn't find out about the true extent of the Holocaust until after the war. It was a major shock to almost everybody, and instantly flipped how the public viewed German Jews in a positive manner (before they had been seen, like all Germans in America, as likely Nazi spies, but it became clear that they were just trying to get an ocean between them and a very dangerous dictatorship). I wonder if it may have also been a factor in the US deciding to not hold Japanese and people who looked Japanese to the people at the time in internment camps or prisons anymore.
And yeah, in Nazi Germany, there were repercussions to speaking out. The acts of rebellion against the Nazis were mostly covert for a reason, and that is that if the wrong people found out, that rebel was getting murdered or disappeared, possibly along with some close relatives. Not that that matters in the abortion debate, as I doubt anybody could ethically do the abortion equivalent of, say, Schindler's list. And you know, acting in the interest of women isn't the same thing as acting in the interest of Nazis.
Confused?
