People believe in things like anti-matter, black holes, dark matter, etc.etc., because the high priests of science say there is anti-matter, black holes, and dark matter. I realized day before yesterday that I don't believe in anti-matter. Why should I? Because somebody told me that their equation proves it? Not good enough. I will have to see it a bowl of it on the table before I will believe in anti-matter, yet "scientific" types cheerily believe in anti-matter.

Another person might see a quite diiferent reason for a statistical correlation than was seen by the original researchers. so here goes with an upsetting alternative analysis . . .
. . . the boy with more older siblings is more likely to be molested by one of them. The more older siblings, the less merry. I regret suggesting this alternate explanation but I am sure that this is the case.
