all have been born with sin. . and if you don't think babies sin just watch them. They are adorable but when they want to have their own way they scream and cry and make a terrible fuss. they are very selfish right from birth. Yes they are dependent on us i understand that. and they have to get our attention. but they behave selfishly. even when they can talk and walk and grow up. Babies when they don't want to lie down and they want to be held. they cry till you pick them up.

(my arm is in a sling so i type like this 4 the time being)
brilliant. i dont know that weve even seen this attitude to babies on FSTDT before! "yes i understand that if they dont get our attention they will die, but its sin!!!" i bet babies even fully deserve torture with a pit of fire FOREVER, dont they? mm hmm.
Yes, how selfish to be born a helpless infant dependent on others to survive, and needing attention and only being able to ask for it by crying. Man that must totally piss Jesus off! I suppose he was the only baby ever born who never cried when he was hungry or dirty or cold? 'Cause that's a sin. Fucktard.

So what did Jesus do when he felt a load coming on? Tap "dad" on the shoulder and say in good Aramaic "excuse me, but I need to move my bowels - can you take off these swaddling clothes so I can walk to the toilet"? Or did the Lord just magically change his diaper?

Why yes! It's even in a song: "But Little Lord Jesus, no crying he makes."
;-)
Damn those selfish crying babies! They should get a job and buy their own diapers, not just lay around and demand food all day.
Anyone remember that mad tv sketch about the woman's lazy son on Springer? It was one of my favourites.
I guess "want to have their own way" is fundie-speak for needing food, warmth and having urine and fecal bacteria washed off them. If that's "their way", what's the other way - toss 'em in a cage and let them starve to death?
Macie apparently would think it's selfish and sinful to call the fire department when your house is on fire - I mean here the guys are sitting down to dinner and you call them and scream and cry and make a terrible fuss just to come and put out your stupid fire! Always thinking of yourself. Get over yourself, you self-centered bitch!
Oh, fer fuck's sake, babies can't even grasp the concept of "self" until about 16-18 months, and continues to develop for a good year and a half after that. I don't have kids, but even I know this much!
I know. Stupid babies. Go out, get a job, pay for, cook, and serve your own damn food! Pay your own way. Why should we have to pay for the roof over your head? What the hell's the matter with you? Not able to walk, speak, read, or write. Big fucking deal! You disgust me, babies.
You do realize that if they didn't cry and make a fuss, then you'd have no idea that they were hungry or in need, right?
But ofcourse they're selfish little pricks. Crying out for food all the time. Gluttony I tells ya. [/fundie]
Number One: All people, heck, all living organisms period are innately selfish. Infants, however, simply use crying is their primary method of communication, as that is how they let the parent(s) know that they need something.
Number Two: It sounds like you've got something against babies there, sonny...
And yet, when the baby is still in the womb, literally leaching from the mother, it's the purest thing in the world and musn't be taken out, even if it would damn the mother.
Find+Replace "Babies" with "Fundies"
Huh, whaddya know, makes much more sense that way.
BABY: "Waaaaah! Me want bottle!"
GOD: "YOUR SINS HAVE DAMNED YOU TO HELL, LITTLE BABY! PREPARE FOR AN ETERNITY OF TORTURE!!"
My response to the notion of Sin and religion in general (from a book I am currently working on): It is silly nonsense because our ancestors made that up so that they could ensure that the nobles and the peasants would continue to survive and stay in their classes. Now that there is a lot of people living in this world, there is no need to follow those obsolete laws.
My response to this idiot in particular: Babies can't talk and they need food and comfort or they will die. Toddlers are still learning and developing so of course they act selfish, it is instinct. Sharing is a learned trait. Now please do the children of the world a favor and never show yourself to the world again.
Well, of course you were born a sinner, macie! That was one fucked-up god that created you, after all!
I got the awful feeling you're not going to do a very good job training that out of them as they grow, Mace.
Anyway, their limbs and voice aren't refined through practice, and they've got no a priori info to work with. I'd like to see what solution you come up with so you don't starve to death other than kicking and screaming.
You know, macie, there are people in every debate who do their best to present intelligent, coherent arguments to sway their opponents.
Then there are the people who just by opening their mouths make their side of the debate fail-never mind actually speaking.
Guess which one you are?
People are selfish, most of them. They do things to feel good about themselves, and to make other people like them.
Some people do anything they can to make themselves as filthy rich as possible. Even to the point of exploiting their employees, the ones making the profit possible.
Holy wowzers! There's a ton of spam in this thread 0_o
Macie: I hope you're sterile. No one like you should be allowed to have children, or be near other people's children...
Evolution, inbreed traits work.
This is not sin, it's communication at it's base. why change or feed or cuddle the baby if they don't want it. why cry or fuss unless it gets you what you need
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
