No, you're confusing science and the ToE with creationism/ID and "creation scientists."
In science, every seemingly insurmountable obstacle simply invites further research. In creationism/ID obstacles are "solved" by making up answer that fits with the Bible or simply saying "Goddidit."

The ToE does not proclaim itself to be fact. It is solidly supported and it can seems to function as fact, but it doesn't proclaim itself to be fact. It is a scientific theory.

Evidently, when they say that science will explain one day, they mean that. Competing "theory"? ID is not a theory. It is, at best, an extremely shaky hypothesis that answers no questions, makes absolutely no predictions and gives no explanations to the natural phenomena observed in biological science.
