Hell isn't cruel.
Let's assume for the moment that God actually exists, and let's further assume that He is all-powerful and all-knowing.
Did God have a choice to make the system what it is? Could God have created a different system, which results in less eternal torment and less suffering in life? If the answer is "yes", then Hell *is* cruel, and your God *isn't* moral.
You don't have to be all-knowing to recognize incompetence.
God decides what is moral.

What chance were they given? According to YOUR theology, your God created them flawed, then commanded to fix themselves, or else. Their path to salvation lay across a literally infinite field of possibilities, with little or no indication as to which route to take. All along the way, there's creeps like you pulling them in different, sometimes contradictory, directions. All of this so they could be punished with eternal suffering for making the wrong choice. Even if they did avoid hell, the best they could have hoped for was eternal worship of the being that couldn't find a better way to put the whole thing in motion. So tell me; what chance were they given?
