E=mc² relates energy to mass and velocity, the same as KE = mv²/2. It does not depend on a specific formulation of either gravity or electromagnetism.

The bible also says that God made a greater light to govern the day, and a lesser one to govern the night, these being the Sun and Moon. Both the Sun and the Moon (which the bible calls 'lights' remember) also have mass, so a GUT could be perfectly 'biblical' and would no doubt be claimed as such (along with the usual claims that the bible actually predicted it) should one ever be discovered.
