Which civilizations? Most civilization fell because they were conquered (like the Byzantines who were conquered by the Ottomans), their holdings rebelled (like the Spanish and British empires), or they simply collapsed under their own weight (like Western Rome and the Soviet Union). There are numerous other reasons once-great civilizations fell and I can't for the life of me find even one civilization that collapsed from the mere existence of butt sex and blow jobs. In fact, if one wanted to be very obtuse one could say that Rome fell from not having enough sodomy because once they converted to Christianity (which doesn't like sodomy), it soon fell. Now, that'd be just as inaccurate as your idea but at least there's a slightly better case for it.

"The belief" and "occult" do not belong in the same sentence, ever. "Occult" is such a broad term that it covers hundreds, if not thousands of belief systems and philosophies.
