Yeah, and we should stop paying entomologists because Holy Scripture tells us how many legs an insect has.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand the first four words: "In the beginning God...”
Unless a detailed data set of radio signals follow that bit in the Bible, shut the fuck up, you stupid shit stain.

<sigh> Could at least try to come up with another line instead of trotting this out every time scientists talk about the big bang.

For one, they didn't launch it in the Netherlands, you dolt (although this is good ol' Ray, so maybe expecting a knowledge of geography is too much for him)
@Dr. Whom:
And we could just get rid of those pesky bat scientists 'cause bats are birds, and whale specialists because whales are fish...

I guess that explains a lot. I guess nice pretty colors and lights would be enough for you to say its magic.

...*facepalm* that's not why we're looking you shit, GAH, first bananas as "proof" of intelligent design, when domestic bananas are designed BY MAN, and now this, seriously how long are you idiots going to keep this aggressive ignorance up, we'd pssibly be exploring the universe by now if it weren't for people like you

Well, sure, Ray, I guess Genesis would suffice if you're intellectually incurious and have no interest in discovering the universe around us.

Wouldn't you think they'd be happy for outside sources to have a way to prove their story right, if they actually had any feeling that it was?

No, but it obviously takes someone smarter than Ray Comfort to understand the difference between "understanding" and "believing." Just because we can read the words doesn't mean we have to accept that they're true. Especially in the absence of any reason to.

Is there something wrong with wanting to know HOW God did this, though? Besides, "omnipotent" didn't originally mean "can do literally anything, in spite of natural laws"; it meant "stronger than all". "Suprapotent" would probably be a better way of putting it.
Besides, you may want to rethink the idea of a God with no constraints whatsoever. How do you plan to distinguish such a God from a beast of pure whim and chaos?
