There's a reason why Christianists brutally oppress gay people in many (not all) societies, until gays in Western Societies since the late 1960s began to challenge the tangible forces of violence arrayed against them. But the determination of gay people not to accept anything less than full equality is infinitely greater than anything Christianists can muster.
Everything you enjoy now is the result of your efforts and the kindness of those who are not bigoted about recognising your rights. Stay tolerant to all except the intolerant. They may have pushed things as far as they can go. If so, they have to live with it. Remember that in breaking down religion you are also breaking down the institutions that resisted any tolerance towards you, sometimes with extreme violence your very right to life itself. Remember also that religion is now very weak in most of the world it is seen as hypocricy, and carries the shame of child abuse that decency no longer allows it hide under is clerical garb. Yet another example of its institutional violence being visited on innocents.
