These guys seem to forget that their demented theology doesn't distinguish 'good' people from 'bad'. Just say the magic words, "I love Jesus", and go to Heaven. Caring is not required, nor does it help, when it comes to getting in to Heaven.
(to the poster above me)
fuck 'em.
thats God's stand.
Sometimes I wish tha the rapture really would happen soon. All the fundies go off to heaven and out of the way, and we are free to live life without even having to see these fundies again, and be much happier because of it.
I agree with Camelknees33. Heaven will be a very nasty place when it's filled with all the bigoted, misogynistic, racist, homophobic Fundies.
Wait, what? Oh, he wasn't talking about Heaven?
Nevermind.
No more televangelists. (prostitutes everywhere will be disconsolate)
No more door-to-door sales of religion.
No more Faux News, Rush Limburger, etc.
No more Republicans.
No more Rupture Ready. (I guess I'll just have to find some other form of entertainment on my work breaks)
America will finally have its Golden Age.
Yep, heaven will be a nasty place, with all those fundies running around completely unrestrained by us caring, rational folks.
....and when you get there you'll notice a stunning castle on a mountain side with great music spilling out the windows and the people obviously having a good time. You look at God and ask if it's His house and he says "no." You get a bit choked up thinking it's your new home and He says "no." Well, then who is there? God says "those folks on fstdt." They figured many things out by using the BRAIN I GAVE THEM. Then He tells you to get some rest because you start work there in the morning.
I really loathe how you compare "caring" with "anti-freedom, bible-thumping, hyphen-ated christians." It has been said that God = love far too much, and I have no problem with that, I just have a problem with Athiests = unloving, uncaring, fools. My father, is an athiest, and so is my mother, both of whom are the nicest people I know. To get dad to kill anyone, you would not only have to hold a gun to my head, but also the heads of his wife and every other person in his family. whereas I have seen many people openly admit that commandment #6 is the only thing stopping them from going on a killing rampage. I don't think it will be nasty, most cops are athiest, as they can't believe in humans, so they CERTAINLY can't believe in gods. Also, there are other religions that prohibit violence, take Islam, Judaism, and Bhuddism. None of these religions (save a few psychotic sects of fundamentalists, which happen in every decent faith) suffer violence. Personally, I think it would be alot better, and I would have alot more faith in humanity if you just jumped into the sky. If all fundamentalists of every faith would put aside their differences and hasten their trip to heaven/paradice/moksha by building a crude rocket and launching yourselves into space, I would be quite happy to see the back of you. We'd also have less hate crimes.
If all the caring people are gone then clearly Christians interpreted the criteria for entrance into heaven all wrong, because I and several other atheists would all be raptured.
And if only Christians are raptured, then a huge swath of the world's prison population would be gone overnight. So, the percentage of criminals would be roughly the same as it is now. Or it wouldn't change at all, as in a place like Thailand.
Nasty place where people of all faiths live well amongst each other, equal rights for consenting adults, economies doing much better, less violence, etc
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
