I thought nothing could lower my opinion of moonbats. Then Notre Dame, possibly the most iconic building in the history of Western Civilization, is largely destroyed by fire — and leftists rejoice:

Twitter user @SarahSahim, a writer for Rolling Stone magazine, Teen Vogue and the Independent newspaper wrote, “Notre-Dame burning is cosmic karma for all the historical sites and artefacts France destroyed and stole when being colonialist scum.”

Another Twitter user, @gaygadott called the fire, “the most aesthetically pleasing visually (sic) I’ve ever seen,” while the account for a U.S.-based far-left pro-Palestinian publication called the Jewish Worker said, “Genuinely awful but if you mourn for this one building and not, say, the entirety of Syria, your white supremacy is showing.”

Treasuring Europe’s heritage is a manifestation of “white supremacy” — the worst sin imaginable in the liberal religion. That’s why the War on History is a war of extermination.

Some Muslims joined their progressive allies in celebration. Others are no doubt hoping Notre Dame will be rebuilt so that they can convert it to a mosque, as they did with Hagia Sophia.

"I thought nothing could lower my opinion of moonbats."

I don't have that problem. You keep making posts like this and my opinion goes lower and lower.
I expect the trend to continue.

You know, these people definitely are wrong. But so are you, and you both share that you don't actually notice it and continuously commit logical fallacies (like cherry picking only the real bat-shit insane people on the left, then declaring that every "leftist" is like that, only to further your own bias).

By the way, when Muslims say "Allahu akbar" they don't always mean it in a celebratory way but just as often use it in stressful situations. Again, some might actually be happy about what happened (there will always be fundies like you and them), but those are the outliers.

Dear lord, I wish that people would finally recognize that it doesn't hurt to be a bit more skeptical about one own ideals instead of just constantly criticizing others.

I am very sad about Notre Dame, and its burning doesn't rectify shit.

But I also wish people were more aware of the crimes the colinial powers perpetrated against similarly iconic buldings and cultural artifacts in other countries. The damage was staggering.

You managed to find two accounts of people "rejoicing" over the Notre Dame fire?
Meanwhile, most of Europe, regardless of religion, politics, skin-tone, is in horror over the ancient artifacts of human culture going up in flames.

It doesn't have to be either/or, silly. I was in horror at the sights on the TV-screen on Monday. I was also in horror at the sights of destroyed Palmyra, Nimrud, Nineveh, on the TV-screen some time ago.
It's our common human culture being destroyed, one by accident, the others by petty self-interest.

The Islamist Muslims are rather your conservative allies, dingbat. We are just saying they are human beings, deserving of civil rights, and that we should not sink to their level. Religious Rightist fundies and Islamists only disagrees on which religion is the one you should use to beat others into submission with.

The Supreme Leader of the Strogg would like a word with you, Davey-boy.

...if the people of France don't do far worse than what Stroggification would do to you for what you've just said.

What were your reactions to - and even during - what happened in & around a place of worship in New Zealand, o Salt-rightists...?

Oh goody, another member of the group of morons who don't believe in actually fixing a problem, but think that just finding someone (anyone!) to blame is sufficient.

I wish I could throw an egg at someone over the internet.

PS:
I am wondering what NeoMatrix's reaction to this is. Probably really happy but disappointed that no-one died and that the art and cult objects were brought to safety.

While I have no doubt that some "leftists" and some Muslims are celebrating most are not. Let's see what Richard Dawkins thinks about this?

The Angry Dybbuk

Horror wasn't your first reaction to the Notre Dame fire, you hypocrite. Your first reaction was to dig up the most scurrilous shit you could find on the left as proof everybody of a specific political persuasion is on the same page as your two examples. You're lazy and you're stupid.
