"Are there any Earth-is-stationary proofs?", you might be asking.
Yes! -There are quite a few undeniable proofs that the Earth is stationary - that it does not rotate about its axis daily.
Why is that important?
“The most important element in heliocentric model is the Earth’s rotation about its polar axis”, says Dr. Shaban in his book, The Verses of Deus (page 77). The reason for that is obvious: If the Earth does not rotate 360 degrees in 24 hours, but if it does revolve around the sun, then one side would always be in daylight, while the other half would experience continual night. It would be similar to what we see of the moon, as it revolves around Earth.
Forget for a moment that no one has ever offered a logical explanation WHY the Earth would rotate on its axis! --and keep rotating for thousands of years. By the time you research the matter of Earth-goes-around-sun versus sun-goes-around-Earth, you will not need an answer to that, since only the second of these two options can be true = reality.

Other than every remotely informed physicist in the last century or two, you mean. Don't think I've ever seen a theitard so openly admit to viewing those with dissenting views or contradicting evidence as nonhumans.
Ah, because the earth has been observed rotating by astronauts and the other planets rotating by astronomers?
Lawd, you are impossibly stupid.
If the Earth does not rotate 360 degrees in 24 hours, but if it does revolve around the sun, then one side would always be in daylight, while the other half would experience continual night.
You offered evidence of why your idea is wrong, but yet you continue to claim that you're right. This is an exceptionally high level of stupidity.
"Genesis-Creation-Proof"
And evidence-proof too.
Dr. Buzz Aldrin is a devout Presbyterian Christian. A Conservative one, at that. Yet, he can reconcile his faith with scientific fact , certainly cosmologically/astronomically, as he's a space scientist. I'm sure you know what that name alone represents to the likes of you Bible literalist creationists:
image
As his, Neil Armstrong & Michael Collins' Apollo 11 Saturn V rocket didn't hit that solid dome that your literal Bible says must exist, then either the Jim Carrey film "The Truman Show" is a documentary, or what happened in 1969 represents the worst nightmare to the likes of you; and of course what happened twelve years before: Sputnik-1; Soviet space science being your worse -than worst nightmare: Atheists proving you & your literal Bible - and therefore your 'God's existence - wrong .
Must be cold in that river in Egypt, o Bible literalists , post-1957/1969 & nearly a decade later (Kitzmiller vs. Dover). Wet, too.
Might be a Poe, but there's a good chance it is real. Creationists use the exact same argument that geocentrists of the past used: the Bible says it, I believe it, that settles it.
The Greeks, the fucking ancient Greeks, knew better than you. With all the technology you have at your disposal, you should have no problem accepting that heliocentrism is real.
Hakar, it's better than that.
Any honest proof has to acknowledge it's only as valid as its premises. No proof even "stands on its own".
They stand on their assumptions. These are people who want to never ever ever examine their assumptions.
Idiot. The moon rotates on its axis. It just takes it roughly the same amount of time to do so as it takes to orbit the Earth.
Ironically, that would actually be more obvious if the Earth really was stationary...
Uh, wow, fail on many levels. The moon always has the same side facing us, but it is most definitely not always in sunlight, hence the phases of the moon.
So, where are these undeniable proofs? "Because I can't explain it" is not a proof.
oops, quite a bit wrong here.
the earth rotates because the great turtle swims in small circles. everyone knows that.
> “The most important element in heliocentric model is the Earth’s rotation about its polar axis”, says Dr. Shaban in his book, The Verses of Deus (page 77).
"Dr" of what exactly?
Anyway, seems to me that the single most important element in the "heliocentric model", you might say the defining element, is that the Earth moves around the sun.
> The reason for that is obvious: If the Earth does not rotate 360 degrees in 24 hours, but if it does revolve around the sun, then one side would always be in daylight, while the other half would experience continual night.
No deary, what you'd see is that a day lasts for half a year, as does a night. What you describe is what would happen if the Earth were to rotate around its axis once per year.
> Forget for a moment that no one has ever offered a logical explanation WHY the Earth would rotate on its axis!
Conservation of angular momentum.
There, I offered the explanation to this problem, now where's my Nobel Prize?
If the Earth does not rotate 360 degrees in 24 hours, but if it does revolve around the sun, then one side would always be in daylight, while the other half would experience continual night. It would be similar to what we see of the moon, as it revolves around Earth.
Wow, he can't even get his own nonsense right.
The moon rotates once a month around it own axis and orbits the earth in the same time in a so-called tidal-lock. Hence the same side of the moon is always facing earth.
If the earth didn't rotate at all around its own axis but did rotate around the sun, the earth day would have the same length as the earth year. Just imagine a month long sunset!
no one has ever offered a logical explanation WHY the Earth would rotate on its axis! --and keep rotating for thousands of years.
#1745166 got it right above:
Earth spins because of preserved angular momentum left over from the formation of the solar system. Same reason earth(and the other planets) orbits the sun in the direction it does
Yes! -There are quite a few undeniable proofs that the Earth is stationary
But there's one undeniable proof that it isn't: stationary satellites. They're impossible if the earth isn't rotating, unless they're using anti-gravity (or really, really long poles!).
Forget for a moment that no one has ever offered a logical explanation WHY the Earth would rotate on its axis!
Irrelevant as long as there is proof the Earth rotates on its axis. For the same reason, proving evolution is a different problem from finding out why life evolves.
Let us, for a moment, look at the vinyl record. Notice how it spins on it's needle, always at a stable 33 1/3 rotations per minute.
But, notice, if you will, the discrepancy of size. Surely, if the outer rim of the disc is farther away from the center, a random point on the edge would have to travel farther in it's rotation versus a point in the center. Two spots, traveling the same speed, for the same time, traveling different distances. Clearly this cannot be, and only serves to give us one, undeniable, truth:
The record is stationary, and the planet rotates around it.
You have to be kidding. Are all the other stars and galaxies also revolving around the earth within your delusion?
And you may want to look up a little concept called, the conservation of angular momentum.
Your ignorance is showing creatard.
> Forget for a moment that no one has ever offered a logical explanation WHY the Earth would rotate on its axis! --and keep rotating for thousands of years.
Objects in motion will stay in motion unless an outside force acts upon them. Since earth floats in a near-vaccum, it only needed to be kick-started once.
There's billions of dollars of fancy machinery in orbit that say otherwise.
Never mind. That's all no more than another neo-Liberal-Marxist NaziMasonic reptillian Loominaughty plot orchestrated by Satan to deceive the humanity.
Further my previous comment, even Princess Luna shakes her head at your BS.
Dr. Buzz Aldrin would consider the above fic a tribute to his Apollo 11 comrade; even if it's something of a Hasbro-related 'departure' from what actually happened during those '22 minutes'. [/"Transformers: Dark of the Moon"]
