Do not steal.

What forms our laws is what our nations moral fiber is. Our laws reflect the moral timber of our nation.

What people do is what people do and in a free society they are free to do stupid things. We cannot legislate stupid away...

but we cannot let stupid make our laws either.

To pass gay marriage laws is forcing our society to adopt an immoral practice. This is not about physiological differences some take as social ones. This is about immoral acts with very bad consequences and while we may not legislate against them...

we should NEVER legislate for them.

As I said before this is not a civil rights issue...this is politics. Its energizing a part of your voting block, paying them back for their votes. Its about weakening the moral fiber of the country so a few people can control the majority.

I will go a step further and say that any comparison to the past civil rights struggles to this immoral moral war, is to spit in the face of every death and ever drop of sweat that gave us the freedoms we have today.

Homosexuality is a sin and it hurts everyone who does it and, it will hurt everyone who supports it as well.

God is faithful. To those who are misguided into thinking gays are a persecuted minority, be careful of what you are fighting for. When the truth hits you, its not going to be pretty.

How does gay marriage do that? Does it ban straight people from voting? I live in a state with gay marriage and I can still vote. Maybe I slipped under their straightdar.

By a deity who himself ordered the abortion of innocent Samaritan foetuses (otherwise, what had they done to warrant their terminations?), and stole another man's woman - Joseph's intended, Mary - to commit an Adultery-based act of statutory rape on a child bride.

Therefore a question, o fundies: how could Homosexualy possibly be a 'sin'?!

When your own Scriptural facts annihilate you, it's not going to be pretty. In your case, resembling something what the Cenobites (in the "Hellraiser" films) are left with, after they've finished with one of their victims.

The only ones hurt by homosexuality are those who are butthurt - but not in the way they'd expect. No. The Civil Rights Movement of the mid-late 20th Century, the new Civil Rights Movement in the 21st Century. What's the difference?

There were those like you in the 50s-60s who were butthurt when race-based equality laws were forced on them, no longer allowing them the right to so much as think what they like about those not exactly like them. You do the maths, re. this issue.

Colour. Sexuality. What's the difference?

Just because you hold to a particular value doesn't mean you hold claim to dreaming it up. Their were laws against murder and theft long before the jews -- to say nothing of christians -- were a thing. By your logic I could argue that we hold to atheistic values like critical thinking and education all the time and should therefore legislate in their favor by limiting the civil freedoms of the religious. Something tells me you'd suddenly see the problem with this line of logic in such a situation.

And God is not faithful. He abandons people for the pettiest of reasons (sometimes just for sport!) all the time. That's according to your own holy book.

To pass gay marriage is to grant more people equal human rights, just as the passing of anti-racism laws were a couple of decades ago. Making a difference between different civil rights struggles is to spit in the face of the deaths and struggles that brought about the freedoms we have today. We need to keep fighting, so more people will be included in the same freedoms tomorrow.

Gay marriage IS a civil rights issue. Refusing gay marriage is politics, on the other hand; it's paying the Religious Right back for their votes. A few people (the richest 1 percent) already control the majority in the US, stupid. If you think that is a weakening of the moral fiber of the country, you ought to join the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Homosexuality is almost the same as heterosexuality, stupid, the only difference is the genders involved. Homosexuality hurts its supporters just as much as heterosexuality hurt its supporters; not at all, that is.

How can you misguide yourself into thinking that gays are NOT a persecuted minority? They are definitely a minority as they are about 10 percent of the population. They are persecuted as they risk being "corrective"-raped, beaten up, discriminated against and/or killed.

I'm fighting for equal rights for all, for the "Love thy neighbor as yourself" that Jesus ordered his followers to do.

I live in a Muslim country. You can't do those things here, either.

Says who? The only test for laws is that they are Constitutional. Otherwise, the people we elect to office can be as dumb as anything, even you. This is why children aren't allowed to sing nursery rhymes after 8pm in Arizona.

We legislate for all sorts of social and physiological differences - disability, nationality, immigration status, marital status. So are you saying there should be no laws at all relating to marriage?

Um, civil rights is politics, too. Just ask those who were on the Freedom Rides. If you don't understand that, it is you who spit on their achievements.

That's a very high standard of proof you're setting for yourself there, and one that is easily disprovable.
