As usual I find myself reading stupid crap from both the pro-Elliot Rodger crowd and the SJW crowd.
Feminism hasn't really hindered men's ability to get laid (or at least if you wanna cite examples, you also have to cite examples of new opportunities it also created to get laid, like women not being excessively traditional), it's done something else: Hindered men and women's ability to form happy healthy lasting marriages by creating unnecessary division and painting men as an oppressor class (especially 3rd wave) and giving single moms welfare which further disincentives marriage (the single mom starts viewing the state as the husband).
Remember that video the Democratic Party put out "the life of Julia"? The state takes care of Julia from cradle to grave - at no point even way after her 18th birthday is there a man present.
Many feminists have also spoken out against marriage or compared a woman needing a man to a fish needing bicycles. Madness. Is it any wonder that single motherhood is through the roof and some men are opting out of marriage entirely (especially when courts almost always rule in favor of women upon divorce)?
But apart from that, this is the best time in history to get laid. In another era Elliot Rodger might have been a eunuch slave for some empire or some shit peasant at the bottom of the barrel. If you can't get laid today I can't imagine you would have had better opportunities 100 or 200 or 500 or 1000 or 5000 years ago, apart from being wealthy.
Elliot Rodger just didn't have what it takes. He was not appealing to feminists, anti-feminists or neutrals. If feminism is what caused his problems, then we should be able to find at least some anti-feminist women who would sleep with him. As far as I know, none would have wanted him. Women want masculine men and Rodger was kind of a wimp. But he could have just gotten hookers with minimal chances of ever being caught (and virtually no chances of seeing a jail cell even if caught since he could just post bail and hire a brutally efficient lawyer - or worst case scenario go to Nevada or emigrate). Instead he decided to buy stupid shit and some guns.
He was a fool.

How many attacks of this nature can you list from the time the USA was more conservative on every level?
There isn't really a monolithic conservatism either (I'm conservative for example, economically, a bit socially but not excessively and I'm not religious at all). A super conservative ER would probably be okay with being a virgin a while longer or maybe wouldn't react with a murderous rage.
His parents were typical Californian liberals. I doubt ER was anything other than apolitical, there is no coherent ideology that I can gather from his "manifesto" apart from dictatorial fantasies if that counts, which even he admitted he'd never realistically be allowed to put in practice. He didn't stand for anything, other than himself (and even that he did poorly).
I don't see how 3rd wave feminism has ANY solution whatsoever to making ER less likely to kill. If anything the anti-male overtones of 3rd wave feminism is likely to anger someone like ER even further. When someone is having trouble getting laid, you are not helping calm the situation by telling them that they're an evil "privileged shitlord" who should "check his male privilege". Nobody's going to buy that. Neither is telling them that their needs don't matter. You can say that his tactics are wrong and immoral, but you can't attack a young man for wanting sex. That is a sure path to being ignored on anything else you may have to say about the matter.
In short no evidence that conservatism caused this, no evidence that SJWs and 3rd wave feminists can prevent future attacks with their barely concealed contempt for straight males in general.

There's no indication that ER was ever an MRA. He doesn't talk about it in his manifesto.
Though he does talk about being angry with his bullies in school getting the girls and him not. Not a good reason on his part, but that's no excuse to slander MRAs or pretend that this would not have happened if MRAs didn't exist.
