As soon as someone plays the "mental health" card, I tune out.
It's exclusively used by awful people to excuse their shitty behavior without having to take responsibility or apologize for their actions.

What the hell is wrong with you, arsehole?
Added the picture (and transscript) he was quoting in his post, as the context makes that even worse.
Dear, Wimpy-Chicken; Please kindly jump into a woodchipper. Thank you.
To holly; You are awesome and brave and don’t let some poultry-brained edgelord get you down!

Concerning Chicken-boy; Do these idiots honestly believe that people cut themselves for fun?
Nope. Mental health issues are real and perfectly good and decent people can have breakdowns. In fact, better people are more likely to have them. Just watch some of BBC's 'Ambulance'. No wonder those who work in the emergency services end up with mental health problems if that's what they have to deal with on a regular basis.

Dumb chicken is arguing that mental health concerns don't exist, that they're exclusively the province of bad people who don't want to take responsibility for their own actions. To whom does the homeless bag lady owe an apology for being schizophrenic?
To whom does Holly owe an apology for taking a knife to herself?
Adding context brought this from asshole comment right up to go-fuck-an-oncoming-train territory. Listening to an incel try to justify their misanthropy by vaguely claiming to be autistic might make that comment seem almost sensible, but when it's in response to someone who sought help for suicidal depression? Seriously dude, what's YOUR excuse for being the world's biggest asshole supposed to be?
@Zinnia
Yeah, but this guy seem to think “taking responsibility” means “magically make your mental illnesses go away through force of will.” If people could do that, we wouldn’t need mental institutions.
Because seriously contemplating the end of every bit of your misery is just for shits and giggles, apparently.
By the way, most of us who've been in that position, we know full well the majority of our problems come from us, our own thoughts, and our own actions. That understanding is a big part of what gets so many of us to that point, because it's such a difficult thing to really deal with, especially in the middle of everything feeling apart. No it's not highly rational, but it's where one sits at that time. That's why many of us need outside help, for our mental health issues .
Edit: fixed typos, typing on a tablet is a bitch.
Gee, mister, you think you can prove that the fields of psychiatry and psychology aren't real?
Well heck, publish a paper and get your Nobel Prize!
Bloody idiot.
Confused?
