Holy shit! So the moment you fall on your ass in life someone comes and cuts your nuts off? What if they make their way out of poverty? Are you going to undo the damage you did to them? And aren't all of these procedures really fucking expensive? Who's going to pay for all of these sterilizations and unsterilizations? I'm all for people not having more kids than they can take care of but I prefer to do it through nice, safe, cheap sex education and money management education not through expensive, unnecessary, and cruel medical procedures that punish people simply for falling on hard times.

First of all this is NOT fundamentalist. And yes, look at statistics: kids from welfare families are FAR more likely to comitt crimes, drop out of schools, etc. Yes I agree with some commenters that many whites are on Welfare (in Oklahoma for example 70% of welfare recipients are white), so this is not a racist issue either. It is simple: the person cannot afford the children they have, norplant prevents them from having even more they cannot take care of. And it can be removed if their situation changed.
So how is not wanting to pay for someone else's children 'fundy' or 'racist'?
