Well invisibility is a godly trait. But wouldn't it be great if genuine believers could emulate other Godly characteristics, like inaudibility, or the ability to appear only as a self portrait on a piece of toast or damp patch on a wall, or even the ability to lengthen short limbs. Bible God has many magical feats, no need to restrict yourself to invisibility when emulating Him.

It is actually mentioned in the bible. The word rapture isn't mentioned but it does talk about the dead in christ rising first and then those alive being caught up in the air.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 I believe.
