Um, no, it was some idiot Christian who shot people he thought were Muslims. They were killed, Pat, because they weren't worshiping the right God. They were killed because the killer was a white supremacist who hated anyone who wasn't like him. You know, much like your Christians who hate people who aren't Christian.

Was this guy an atheist? I dunno but I doubt it. People who talk about "racial holy war" usually identify themselves with some sort of Christian Identity thing or paganism.
I wonder if Pat is ever made to retract his statements, or to apologise? Or does he just blithely go on, living in his own world, calmly polluting the airwaves with lies?
What kind of person sees a tragedy on the news, and his first thought is, "Ah, I can blame this on atheists!" without even bothering to check if the guy was an atheist.

And white supremecists are atheists. They have no connection to southern baptists.
To be serious for a moment, if these racial holy war people are the same ones I was following years ago, they believe christianity was invented by jews to attack the white races greatest creation, the Roman Empire. It worked way better than they expected.
Therefore christianity is an enemy of the white race and must be destroyed.

There are many things wrong with this world, with society, with ourselves. But things don't get better by killing people who are worshiping God, whatever god that is.
The knee-jerk reaction from some people on the right wing after 7/22 (Breivik), was that this must be the work of evil Muslims, that it was a continuation of 9/11. As we all know now, Breivik was not an evil Muslim, but an evil Christian right-winger, who hates Muslims just as much as they do.
