And to be honest Ben Franklin is one guy I do not feel sorry for. He's held up as an American hero but he was a disgusting human being. Speaking of slavery, he was a huge proponent of the slave trade and when his ass got too fat for him to walk on his own, he actually had slaves haul his butt around on a dais like some kind of king. I hear fat fries real good. I'm sure this "great scholar" is just as unintelligible now amid his inane babbling and screams for water as Christian 'dogma' was to him. Except proverbs does not do it either it's just that bible thumpers use anything they can find to justify themselves. But in most case those are actually just stories told to the disciples and edited ones at that. King James had many things taken out a we may never know what those were. Oh and apparently most of them do not pay attention in history since James did try to have a different wife because he did not like the first one he had and tried to excommunicate the pope if I remember correctly it has been a while.

I do think it is important to have a working knowledge of some parts of the Bible for English classes, as it is referenced a lot in literary works that are to be studied. The same goes for Classical mythology.

As many of you know, I used to accept the myth that America was founded as a Christian nation, but the more I study the founding fathers and their beliefs, the less I see this as true. Sadly, Christians have always struggled for acceptance in this country (as they do in all secular nations) and there was immorality even in the early American colonies. President James Buchanan may have been gay, and even Theodore Roosevelt is believed by some scholars to have been a homosexual who covered it up by acting "butch." So there goes the idea that the founding fathers in any way honored God with their lives.

As for you, Anonemoose, I'm curious why you have to post such long, incoherent rants each time I comment and why you incessantly dwell on this idea of buttsex in every post. I mentioned it in a specific context (that unsaved people would be sodomized as punishment, not as a sex act) and you have made a weird fetish out of it and now have to refer to it in every post.
