Quote# 88394

It is a well-known fact that porn is a gateway for oppressive behavior, used to exploit women for the profit of others - women who are incapable of finding any other solution for gathering an income merely to survive. But, that is not the topic for this post. The topic for this post concerns male fantasies, young girls, and the potential for rape.

“Legal” pornography which involves women who are “of age”, or 18, is one of the most popular forms of pornography in regards to consumption. The attraction for men in this particular type of pornography is the youth of the girl, and to appease this attraction, the girl(s) in these movies and videos are forced to attempt to make themselves seem naively innocent, child-like, both externally and internally, in order to convey a sense of submissiveness to the male viewer.

[...]

It is my contention, because of this, that all men who desire this type of pornography are pedophiles and, inevitably, potentially dangerous rapists. They are drawn to the girl’s youth, and the fantasy that the girl is underage. It adds a sense of risk and taboo to the thrill. And, what is often cited, beyond sex, as the cause for rape? The desire for dominance and power. The difference between a girl at the age of 15 and a girl at the age of 18 is very minute, and men are capable of recognizing that.

I encourage any girl out there who is still dating a man to stop him from watching pornography, or, at the very least, if that is too daunting, find out what type of pornography he is often viewing. If it concerns young females and that sort of fantasy, I would suggest getting away from him as quickly as possible. Not only is he extremely depraved, sick and disgusting, but he is likely a pedophile, or has pedophilic desires, and he likely has a great potential for raping in the near future.

I must respectfully disagree.I've been consuming porn ever since I hit puberty.I've never had any desire to rape anyone, quite the opposite(the thought repulses me).Furthermore, I'm mostly attracted to girls(Um, okay, women) of my own age.
YOU are the one fantazising about rape.

As for the paedophile theory, FUCK YOU.

Stop bringing up actual problems, combining them with stuff that aren't problems, and mashing them into problems that don't exist. Are you trying to discredit actual attempts at fighting sexual exploitation???

I like to visit gore websites out of morbid curiosity. Going by the original post's logic, this would make me a murderer because I watched a murder video. Didn't I also mention that I'm one of those types who can't even hurt a fly in real life?

Or, many of these guys get their fantasies about young girls satisfied through these films and don't feel the need to rape anyone. To some men this might be a safe way to experience your fantasy, they KNOW the girl is of age, so it isn't really illegal.

"any girl who is still dating a man"? What, are all the girls you know dating women?

As it takes at least two to "tango", it also exploits men for the profit of others. Some women (and men) choose this way of gathering an income, ya know.

For my part, I find it vulgar, distasteful and off-putting. But that's me; unlike you, I don't force others to behave according to my feelings.

So men [i]not[/i[ desiring sex with underage girls makes them paedophiles?

This post is especially ironic, considering her "castrate all men" fantasy was positively dripping with BSDM overtones.

This sort of nonsense is what keeps the porn industry unregulated.

The real problem with the porn industry is the ruthless exploitation of women who often recieve little or no part of their pay.
Husbands, boyfreinds and pimps collect the money, while the women get punched for being "sluts", and sent in for more.
The porn industry is rife with drug abuse, violence, and coercion.

Some studios have chosen to regulate themelves, and to try to protect their female employees... but far too many are still running the same old program of ruthless exploitation.

This isn't all crazy, as a man who watches violent porn or those involving girls with shaved crotches, pigtails, and a tendency to carry teddybears or big lollypops is not anyone I'd want around my hypothetical daughter. For my part, I don't think, in my salad days, I'd have wanted to waste my time on anyone who preferred that kind of virtual reality to living, body-on-body encounters. Nonetheless, millions of people enjoy a few harmless dirty pictures without being ruined by them.

The attraction for men in this particular type of pornography is the youth of the girl

Hmm... strange how men are attracted to young, hot 18 year old women instead of old, saggy, 40 year olds. Actually that's not entirely true, because there is plenty of MILF and granny porn out there.

I encourage any girl out there who is still dating a man to stop him from watching pornography, or, at the very least, if that is too daunting, find out what type of pornography he is often viewing. Good luck being single for the rest of your life.

he likely has a great potential for raping in the near future.

Bullshit. I've looked at porn and find the idea of rape sickening. I don't even like porn where the guy grabs the woman's hair and pulls it in a harsh manner. It's a major turnoff.

If they're 18 then what's the problem? Yeah, it's a bit creepy for a 40 year old man to be looking at 18 year olds but they're still adults. Also, I'd much rather these creeps (especially the rape fetishists) act out their fantasies on the computer screen than in real life.

@Doubting Thomas

Same here. I hate violent porn. I enjoy pics and vids much more when the woman seems to be enjoying herself.

While I think women and men alike can do better than the porn industry for a job it's their own expression of liberty to apply for it. I would like to see better protection and regulation on the matter, just like I'd like better regulation to protect illegal sex work.

Because let's face it, no matter how some of these people denounce things like porn or hooking, a lot of them still buy the product. They could stand to show some humility and try to protect the people they're buying.

I believe in freedom of expression, and that included pornography. This said, I don't think pornography is especially dignifying, to neither participants nor spectators.

if some of the leading producers of porn were not women you might have a point.

If you think a 15 year old and an 18 year old are very similar I suggest you seek help.

A twenty something woman with huge tits does not really look like a schoolgirl even with the cheerleader skirt, socks and shoes. Its FANTASY.

You really should search the internet for some MILF porn, or even some granny porn. You will find that your pearticular sexual fantasy is NOT the only kind of porn out there.

EDIT: Doubting Thomas beat me to the mention of MILF and granny porn.

Yes, and the "extremely depraved, sick and disgusting" boyfriend will rape elderly if he has MILF-porn stashed away somewhere.

And what are the impliucations for all male gay-porn?

It's perfectly natural, we men are designed by nature to be sexually attracted to pubescent women. That does indeed include women you call underage.
