And no, Obama doesn't have a plan to kill anyone. He's not making abortion mandatory and even if he had such plans Congress and the media would come down on him like a ton of bricks. We still have a representative democracy, even if it has been sold to the highest bidder.

The problem with Godwin's Law is that if you look hard enough, you can literally find things in common between any politician and Hitler. Let's go through every US president since FDR:

FDR: came into power at a time of economic crisis, charismatic speaker
Truman: ultimately made the decision to drop the nuclear bomb, which killed millions, many of whom were civilians
Eisenhower: Interstate Highway System was based on the Autobahn, deployed troops domestically to achieve federal goals
JFK: charismatic speaker, was a devout catholic
LBJ: warmongering and escalation of hostilities under false pretenses
Nixon: paranoid about his political enemies
Ford: made many decisions in the name of national unity
Carter: charismatic speaker, came into power amid distrust of the previous, ineffectual leader
Reagan: dedicated enormous resources to the military, charismatic speaker
Bush: warmongering and escalation of hostilities
Clinton: came into power during economic crisis, oversaw economic growth that was at least partially a consequence of military spending
Bush: extreme warmongering and installing fear of a religious minority, consolidation of power
Obama: came into power during economic crisis, charismatic speaker

Note that I have greatly simplified things here. There are other comparisons I chose to avoid, such as Reagan's reliance on a psychic or the fact that a particular military theory pervaded every president from Truman through Bush I.

You have to be born in the United States to be a citizen, and, as fetuses have not been born anywhere, they are not citizens. The weakest, most vulnerable citizens in the United States are those who live in poverty, whom liberals at least try to help.

Conservatives love to quote the proverb, "If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for the rest of his life." The Republican party though doesn't want to teach people to fish. It tells people to fish. The left tries to teach people to fish, provides them with a net, and probably gives them a few fish so that they don't starve to death while learning.

Good Goodwin, lady! How does abortion compare to the massive killings of innocents? Whatever your stance on abortion is, fetuses don't have a conscience yet, and the men, women, and children killed in the Holocaust did, and they were being specifically targeted because of something they couldn't help that was not allowed. Last time I checked, Obama hasn't done anything to discriminate against any minority.

Seriously, stop equating everyone to Hitler. Not only is it disproportionate to people who haven't had a history of being about as cruel as he was, but it's also disrespectful to people who died.

Hitler banned abortions, he wanted as many future soldiers and housewives as possible.

Hitler focused people's hatred on already despised groups, so that he could do his atrocities without people noticing. The groups he chose were gays, Romanies, disabled people, Communists, black people and Jews. Your right-wing fundamentalist leaders are focusing people's hatred on some of these groups today, and you want us to think that Obama, who is just trying to clean up the worst of the mess left by the former president, is like Hitler. Falwell, Limbaugh and Robertson act more like Hitler than Obama. They are also white, Conservative and Christian, like Hitler was.

If you want to stop abortions, you need to inform young people of the correct use of contraceptives and safe sex, and you need to create an environment where there is no social stigma with being unwed parents. Here in Sweden, many children are flower girls/boys at their parents' wedding. Many parents don't bother to marry at all.

Oh, and please learn to spell Holocaust. Spell-checking programs are your friends, Sonja.

That's rich. Under the Obama administration, we have FINALLY just crept out of the gigantic jobs crater left over from the fucking natural disaster that was the George W. Bush administration, thanks largely to the Obama stimulus package which prevented a depression. We FINALLY got universal healthcare, joining the long list of nations that do, and every other developed country on the goddamn planet. We FINALLY have started to take income inequality and social mobility seriously again, and Obama has taken actions on these things, from extending payroll tax cuts, to cutting student loan rates, to reforming the student loan system, to signing the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, as his first act as President, no less. Under Obama, we FINALLY ended the fucking idiotic war in Iraq, and hopefully under Obama we will end the war in Afghanistan too. We FINALLY have done something about the deficit. Obama has reduced it by trillions. Americans are also paying less taxes than they have since the early 20th century, and government growth has been slower under Obama than any other President in modern history.

So yes, tell me about the "situation we're in." If Obama is Hitler to you, we need to elect your fucking Stalin or Pol Pot.
