Finally, a fundie with a reasonable 'splanation of evolution that can be taught to very young children and babies; "Goo goo goo".
And the equally sensible creationist view, about on a par with it, and just as believable.

That last sentence has so much irony that, if it were converted into mass it would create a new black hole.

I love it when fundies try to disparage evolution as a "fairytale".
"Evolution? A bunch of hooey! A talking snake, on the other hand... now that makes sense!"

"What surprises me is how extremist are foolish enough to attack science, and lose again and again, damaging their own reputation. Why not simply argue that faith is personal and is not an issue for science. That would be wiser and nothing would be lost"

You stupid fuck. I'd say something more profound, but I've seen this comment a million times and I just don't care anymore.

And that's more reasonable than "All that you see had an origin and a designer, and that designer is the all-powerful God, who created you in His image and likeness"?
Yes. Yes, it is.

I suppose it's easy to object to something you don't have a clue about, so you make up some inane and incomprehensible bullshit nobody in their right mind would accept.
Then again, the process I just described above sounds a lot like how religions are founded, doesn't it?

If anyone would teach that to my (not existing) son, I would bash him in the head.
They should teach the ToE, not Strawman!ToE.

Personally, I object to my children being taught the fairy tale that the world is round in school.
You really expect someone to sit down with a small child and teach them as such? "Son, we have to believe that the people on the other side of this supposedly round world don't fall off like they should. No, everything falls towards the middle because of this imaginary, invisible force the atheists call gravity."
And that's more reasonable than "Just look around you, it's flat!"?

I am through with refuting their claims. Since America is little different from Iran, it is completely pointless. In Europe, nobody advocates creationism in public schools. Where did American history go wrong?

"Son, in the beginning there was nothing. Then nothing happened to nothing and then nothing exploded into everything"
I'm sure that strawman is still a hellova lot better than
Son in the beginning there was nothing, then nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically became an all-powerful God, who created you in His image and likeness

I propose that what you really object to is that your children would understand the concept far better than you've demonstrated in your ignorant rant and see you as the fucking moron you really are.

Well, you were clearly never taught evolution, because that BEARS NO FUCKING RESEMBLANCE TO IT.
So yes. What you're saying is that we should teach them myths about a magical man that came from NOTHING that came and poofed the world into existence. Instead of teaching them what ACTUALLY FUCKING HAPPENED.

If I believed that evolution bore any similarity to your warped description of it, then I'd object to my children being taught it too.
