I fail to understand how the entire world is coming to end just because a law that mandates you have healthcare was deemed constitutional

As a disabled person, I appreciate being able to cut the line at theme parks. It's one of the few perks we get (like society's saying "Sucks you're in constant pain, how about you go ahead of me on Space Mountain?"). But really? Wanting to cut the line to the Rapture? I think that's just taking it too far.

You're not getting "raptured". You should realise that. You're stuck here til you die, then worms eat you. It's that simple. NEXT!

First off, citation needed on the whole denying health care bit.
Second, I like to see you say that when you're 70.

What about those poor souls who are quite, quite mad? Maybe if there's enough evidence for insanity, internet ramblings involving loony fantasies for example, then perhaps they will be mercifully put-down in order to protect the population from madness.
Then again, it might be ...er... soon and never happen.

I'm constantly surprised that RR never seems to bring up the cases where insurance companies deny treatment.
Do they somehow feel that it is perfectly correct for a company to decide if a person will live or die based on profit margin?

I agree with Acts5:41, here in the UK our Euthanasia Hospitals are doing a roaring trade.
Err, no they don't exist under nationalised health care.

Don't pretend you give a shit about people with disabilities, motherfucker. At least once a week I happen upon a website, a blog, a forum, some place online in which autism is declared 'not a disability' and worse - demon possession by fundies like you.
So spare me your false claims of caring about the disabled. If it were up to you and your ilk, my children and everyone else like them would be enduring forced exorcisms.

And in the future, people will have crystals implanted into their hands which will glow red when they turn 30, meaning they'll need to take part in Carrousel to die and hopefully be renewed. And anyone who doesn't will be considered a runner and will be hunted down and killed.

"If you can't pay, they don't get medical care and die."
Um, isn't that exactly what your side wants? For poor people to receive no help from the state when they fall ill? That's the right-wing position!

Bollocks. We've had the NHS for 64 years (instituted by a real actual Socialist government) and none of that shit has happened yet.

You think it's bad now? If Obama gets re-elected, the American right wing is going to have a collective meltdown / BSOD. They are going to shit bricks for the next couple of centuries.
"I fail to understand how the entire world is coming to end just because a law that mandates you have healthcare was deemed constitutional"
So do the wingnuts opposing it, but if it's endorsed by Barack HUSSEIN Obama, it's gotta be bad.

You people are idiots.
On the one hand, you bemoan the fact that insurance companies will decide whether you get medical treatment or not (something they've always done, even before the ACA) and on the other hand you steadfastly condemn any attempts at creating a true single-payer universal healthcare system in the USA.
Do me a favour, don't bring your poisoned rationale to Canada. We don't need it. We have enough idiots of our own.

He Who Doubts
This one starts off as just an expression of concern over a worst case scenario in the medical insurance industry, where extreme greed and apathy lead to high incidents of death. As it's described, this scenario seems a bit far fetched, but still retains some realism since deaths already occur even if at a lower rate. It doesn't actually doesn't start to seem fundie until the end when the paranoia ramps up with a wish from the author that she and her husband get beamed away to a supernatural reality to escape the horror.

Western European secular democracies, Canada, Australia, NZ all have socialised health care. None have introduced euthanasia to reduce costs, indeed many extend life even when it causes pain, distress, and in the face of the desires of the patients.
Why then is the USA going to kill "useless" people, uniquely in civilisation?

Wait... how does a law providing healthcare = citizens being denied healthcare?
The rest of the post is just (more) delusional imaginings of a deranged mind.

"You have a baby with a disability? You're on the hook for all medical expenses; insurance won't pay,"
This happens under private insurance ALL THE TIME. With everyone in the same system, a national health care, the middle man, the insurance companies aren't allowed to deny specialized care or rip 40 to 60 percent of the money out for company profits. The people they deny service to are cast into goverment funded sysyems NOW, the goverment and taxpayer thereby subsidicing them.
These are paper-pushers people, there's not one reason they should have profit margins higher than everyone else. Just a five year treatment like this of farmers or any suffering people who actually produce product would revitalize those fields for 20 years.
When was the last time you saw a Union leader or farm organization give their CEOs multi-million dollar bonuses? Happens in banking and insurance companies ALL THE TIME. Why? Insane profit margins that drastically reduce service.
Do you really need more multi-millionaires who provide no real service yet reap the hard earnned money of the productive people? In case you're so stupid not to know. NO! Every company that does this doesn't have to pay them even a tenth of that, most companies don't even need these ridiculous fat cat figureheads.

I don't trust your judgement.
