Quote# 88081

Once in a rare while, we meet people who emit a truly evil vibe. In my experience, these people fall into two different categories: people who have a negative entity attached to their auras, and people who have negative entities attached to their auras and also habitually engage in wicked thoughts, feelings and activities. Everyone who engages in truly evil behavior is infected with negative entities, for even when negative entities aren't the initial cause of someone's nastiness, it doesn't take long for them to be attracted to someone "evil" like flies are drawn to the stench of garbage.

I am casually acquainted with a woman who evokes the same responses you describe in everyone I know who interacts with her. When I mentioned how she gives me the creeps to my husband, he remarked that he has always felt the same way. (He calls her the "Voodoo Priestess.") I then began to poll some other friends and everyone reported the same feelings. I found this interesting because I often get strong psychic impressions about people, but this woman's energy is so creepy that everyone picks up on it.

When I tuned in to see what was underneath the bad feelings she evokes, to my surprise, I became aware of a demon, which immediately began to try to engage me in communication. It seemed both amused that I was able to perceive it and at the same time threatened. As for how this woman got a demon attached to her, I was made to understand that when she almost died due to some very serious health issues, she made a sort of I'll do anything to live pact. Her willingness to do anything to get what she wanted made her vulnerable to dark forces.

I don't really buy the demon part, but the rest of this isn't crazy.

This right here is a prime example of the halo effect. As a person with Asperger syndrome who sometimes winds up on the wrong side of the effect, let me just say that there are no words for how deeply I despise Ms. Melges-Brenner.

There are lots of reasons that might cause people to have a feeling of creepiness about someone including appearance, mannerisms, the sound of their voice and even smell. However, I can pretty much gurantee that demons aren't one of the reasons.

The reaction is often sub-conscious, usually unjustified and is called the Halo Effect or Halo Error. In other owrds, it has more to do with the people having the reaction than the target.

I keep reading that as "negative entity attached to their anus".

And Julia seems to be a much worse person than her "Voodoo Priestess". Her friend might give people the creeps, but she outright admits to being willing to alienate someone who she's known for years because of some unreliable gut feeling.

It's possible to get the creeps from certain people based on how they act and how you perceive their actions. No psychic powers or demons needed.

As a socially awkward person, I can guarantee you that ending up creeping others is completely unrelated to your thoughts or intent.

Let me see if I got this straight; she couldn't get god to help her live, so the demon came on board.

Your god's a dick.

Quite a while ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I too wanted to get better at all costs. Since I know your god is as imaginary as angels and demons, I made a "pact" with my oncologist who cured me using modern science.
People like you are ignorant, superstitious fools.

I think it would be wrong to immediately burn this woman at the stake as a witch.

I think you should find if she weighs more than a duck first.

" like flies are drawn to the stench of garbage."

Drawn to them like flies to honey. Or rotting flesh. Ever wonder why flies like both? Best not to ask.

Is this Christianity or Scientology? I CONFUSED.

Actually some people really do make one uncomfortable. I suppose it's too outlandish to think that one is subconsciously picking up on a thousand little cues - body language, a certain look in the eye, etc - that add up to "nasty bastard"? Nope, demons is a much better explanation.

[edit] Today FSTDT taught me about the Halo Effect, of which I sort of knew but didn't realies it had a name. Thanks, FSTDT :)

when she almost died due to some very serious health issues, she made a sort of I'll do anything to live pact.

Is that like, "Please, God, get me through this one and I'll never do bad things ever again"? Or "OK, it's Jesus. All Jesus all day long for me from now on praisejesusjesusjesus."?

Yeah, that shit can fuck with your head.

You people can stop with the " I've met demons and they're scared of me" shit right now. All y'all. We think you're a postering idiots and most Christians would get "bad vibes" off you because you talk shit.

Look at your own case, she thinks she has a demon and you play right into it.

Also you don't really believe your own shit, this is fundie fan-fiction again, you lot run and hide from everything then come up with these ridiculous stands against evil. Stop lieing.
