Organisms eat other organisms, therefore God exists. That's some brilliant logic there.

Actually, a lot of single celled organisms do not require other living things to eat. And what does the consuming of DNA have to do with breathing? Can anyone clarify what the hell he is trying to say?

Also, the fact that every living thing is related to some degree is evidence that we all share a common origin, not a creator. If a designer made everything separate from one another, then no species should share DNA with another.

If it functioned perfectly, there'd be no waste. Hell, why couldn't we use photosynthesis if God can do whatever the fuck he wants?

Carl, go back to HS Biology class. Please stay awake this time so you actually understand what "cellular respiration" is and why it is astonishingly *conserved* across life forms.

"...energy creation through cellular respiration?" and then IMMEDIATELY after "Cellular respiration is an...energy-expending system."
Way to blatantly contradict yourself and prove that you have no idea wtf you're talking about.

The DNA of food has nothing to do with anything. Chemistry does. The fact that many living things are edible is because all living things are based on the same chemistry. The reason for that is that all living things are descended from the same original organisms. The fact that many living things are inedible and/or toxic is because they have evolved ways to avoid being eaten.

Yet in order for life to be sustained, living things must have other living things to ingest.
Wrong. Plants, with a few bizarre exceptions, don't ingest other living things.

They just can't understand "cause and effect" can they?
I might also point out that most plants (which are living things) don't ingest other living things. They use a little trick called "photosynthesis."

Your body does not give two shits what organic material it eats so long as it's not poisonous. DNA doesn't have to be "compatible". At all. I wonder where you got that idea from, if you didn't just pull it from your ass.

My DNA doesn't need to be compatible with that of the food I eat, in order for me to digest it. That'll all get broken down by the chemicals in my stomach and intestines -- carbs, proteins, and fats -- and the DNA information will long be gone by the time it reaches my bloodstream.

Is the process of eating and cellular respiration the result of a mere fluke of evolution?
No, it's a result of the conservation of mass and energy. We need extra mass and energy to grow and as animals we gain that by eating other organic compounds. The reason why all life on Earth uses DNA is because all life on Earth is descended ultimately from the same common ancestor.
It's not a coincidence at all.

What in the abhorrent name of dread Cthulhu are you yammering about? There is so much fail here that I don't wanna attempt to list it all. Let me just ask where you got the notion that DNA similarity is even close to relevant when it comes to foodstuffs. If that were the case, wouldn't cannibalism be the healthiest diet of all?

Is it not a strange convenience for evolution that all living things have such unimaginable DNA similarity that cellular respiration is possible?
No.
Ignoring your ignorance about DNA, ingestion and cellular respiration for the moment, common descent would predict similarities in DNA, you fuckin' idiot.

What is unimaginable about DNA similarity in organisms that evolved on the same planet? That's exactly what we would expect to see.
