Quote# 87640

How God tortures will be up to him. There will be millions in hell that never heard the gospel, like the Indians, ect...so maybe they won't be tortured as bad. Then take teens, whenever they pass age of accountability, say 13, probably a few million have died over time before they reached 18, who knows had they lived longer they may have accepted, so maybe they will get a break. Millions are born in cultures and by birth taught something else and will believe it, so they shouldn't get the worse levels.

Course, think about the Jews duing WW2 and how surprised they will be. Over 6 million, 95% loved God more than most, but like most still waiting for the Messiah and didn't accept Christ. I'm sure they were sincere, being tortured by the Nazi's. To them their only hope was God. Can you imagine how they will feel, to go through all that torture on earth and then face the God they prayed too and he'll place them in eternal hell where Hitler's torture won't compare....probably just part of the generational curse on the Jews, but I would think they would be tortured less, because they loved God, but why should they get less, they denied Christ. In reality the majority of Jews will face eternal torture.

Really, with probably 80% of people going to hell, they all go for not accepting the gospel. I would assume God chooses who goes there. Face it, if you or I was born in Iran, we would be Muslim, so we're lucky to be born in the USA.

I don't see any levels in hell, but some believe it. Just be glad you're not going, to face torment on a level man has never done to man, where a trillion years is not even a second. We all will have many family members there which is sad, but God will erase them from our minds so there will be no tears in heaven, only pure joy.

OK. This is my opinion. The people who wrote the Bible (or parts thereof) had an agenda. They wanted to use fear to control people. I do feel that some early texts may have had some kind of spiritual origin, but that it was twisted up, altered, added-to, and subtracted-from until we had a fear-inducing judgemental creator who would punish us for eternity. The bible is as spiritual as Mein Kampf.

However, I do accept spritual reality. My father was a natural psychic. He never used his ability for show, and never sought to make money from it. But he had many precognitive dreams, and he was sometimes aware of other realms, and of spirit. I seem to have inherited some of this ability although I have not developed it. As a child I had an experience where I was aware of two women in spirit, who I seemed to know were passed relatives. Don't ask me how I knew... I just had a feeling. I have no reason to believe they were devout Christians, but they certainly weren't in hell.

I agree, whatever. My take on Christianity is Liberal, Gnostic, Esoteric, etc. I only focus on the NT and only the stuff that isn't bogus (The Pauline epistles that are bigoted & stupid tend to be the 'spurious' ones, not the proven-genuine ones. The real Paul was actually quite accepting of women & Jews).

I also feel that the OT we know today is mostly a fabrication cranked out by Post-Exile Pharisee Judaism (a power-hungry legalistic bunch). Everything The Demiurge (the false concept of Godde) touches turns to crap.

'In reality the majority of Jews will face eternal torture'

'Really, with probably 80% of people going to hell, they all go for not accepting the gospel'

Then H-E-L-L will be a better place, with mostly sane human beings, than listening to this kind of tripe.

He himself points out a very fundamental flaw in his ridiculous belief system (i.e.: salvation is based almost entirely on luck), and yet he's still a christian?
There's no escaping it. If you were unfortunate enough to be born in Saudi Arabia, you would be a muslim. If you were unfortunate enough to be born in Ancient Greece, you would be worshiping Zeus. And if you were unfortunate enough to have a functional brain, you would be an atheist.

Apart from the utterly objectionable concept, where has this notion come from? I'm sure that a lot of these statements do not occur in the bible. Armistead seems to be making up a lot of this as he goes along. How, then, can he call it part of the Christian doctrine?

So if your God does not like you, you will be tortured and abused for all of eternity. And if your God likes you, you will be mind raped and brainwashed for all of eternity.

I don't think that I like your God very much. I prefer mine. You know, the one who loves everyone and protected the adulteress and died for our sins so that all may know the glory of heaven? Ever heard of him? I didn't think so.

Did you know that murdering 6 billion people does not necessarily mean you go to hell? In fact you might go to heaven.

Did you know there is a worse crime than murdering 6 billion people? A crime for which you'll definitely go to hell. That's if you say that Bible God is a non-existent prat with less intelligence than a skiddy gusset.

I never thought heaven could be orwellian. I think i'd rather go to hell just so my family doesn't become unpeople.

It's interesting that these people feel the need to inform us of their meaningless 'qualifications' such as a 'certificate of prophecy ministry' or Mr Hovind's fake doctorate. It's as if this somehow gives their argument some validity in lieu of any intelectual gravitas. Sadly, it doesn't work.

Both the OP and His4Life are perfectly entitled to make up stories concerning the intentions of their god as far as I'm concerned, but I'm sure that the bible is a little less forgiving about that sort of thing. All I can see here are two very unpleasant people who can't keep their sadistic fantasies to themselves.

Fortunately, such a hell does not exist, nor does such a God.

But if such a God were to exist, it would need to be fought until it either stopped the torture or was no more. In that event, I would imitate the legend of Ksitigarbha, Jizo Bodhisattva and stage a cosmic jailbreak until all of hell was empty. Nice thing about being dead - there is plenty of time.
