Oh, just go suck a guy off, dude. You know you want to.

"Chemical imbalance"? I thought mainstream science was one of the Man's conspiracies over at GLP. He probably meant "an imbalance of humours".

Oh no, the dark urge to cum. Surely only Sauron could have invented such wickedness.
6/1/2012 3:43:50 AM
Too easy. Just substitute 'Christianity' for 'homosexuality' in this bit and you'll see the inanity of it...
6/1/2012 3:49:36 AM
Except homosexuality doesn't hurt anybody. So therefore it is not a dark impulse.
6/1/2012 3:50:31 AM
peer reviewed studies showing homosexuality is a choice or GTFO!
6/1/2012 4:30:47 AM
Love is murder?
6/1/2012 4:51:18 AM
Eating pie, like murder, is a choice.
One chooses to engage in pie eating behavior in order to satisfy dark urges. The Pie eater, like the murderer, can choose to refrain from acting upon this dark impulse, but decides to succume and commit acts of vulgarity. Therefore, it stands to reason that the same mentality that possesses the murderer, also possesses the pie eater. That is a chemical imbalance in the brain brought on by environmental forces or stress.

I hate to tell you this, but the urge to love and make love is a natural one, not a dark one, regardless of the sex of the consenting adult at whom it is directed, and the only valid reason to suppress it is that the other person doesn't welcome it. Murder, on the other hand... Anonymous Coward, are you hiding out there because you think all these homosexuals want to murder you, maybe by spearing you to death?
6/1/2012 5:03:12 AM
No one has the right to tell others whom to love or how to have sex.
That is all.
6/1/2012 5:05:06 AM
An unemployed truck driver seething over liberalism told police he opened fire in a church last year because it harbored gays and multiracial families and he hoped others would follow his example.
"They just glory (in) these weirdos and sickos and homos," he said in an interview recorded by investigators.
He also railed against the Unitarian Church: "That ain't a church, that's a damned cult," Adkisson said.
Adkisson walked into the church, pulled a sawed-off shotgun from a guitar case and fired into a congregation of about 230 people watching a children's musical performance.
Adkisson left a four-page suicide note in his SUV in the church parking lot. In it, he described the attack as "a hate crime,"
Adkisson concluded, "I'd like to encourage other like-minded people to do what I've done. If life ain't worth living anymore don't just kill yourself. Do something for your country before you go. Go kill liberals."
Catherine Murray, who was friends with the couple, told police Adkisson had drug and alcohol problems and "basically was afraid of anybody or anything that was not like him."

It's getting more obvious all the time that people who speak of these "impulses" are having feelings they are afraid of and assume that everybody feels this way, some just "let the demons take over". First problem, there's nothing bad about those feelings other than assholes treating you poorly. Secondly, everyone does not have these impulses.
6/1/2012 5:27:18 AM
Succumb spelled 'succ-u-me'? Dude, your subconscious is signaling like a flare pistol.
6/1/2012 5:31:57 AM
But homosexuality is not a choice, therefore none of the rest of what you say is valid.
6/1/2012 5:36:33 AM
So once again comparing homosexuality with murder.
Your name, Annonymous Coward, is so appropriate
6/1/2012 5:46:48 AM
"Homosexuality, like murder, is a choice."
Let's just say for the sake of argument you were correct. The same is true of someone choosing an ice-cream flavour.
Pistachio, like murder, is a choice.
One chooses to engage in rum-n-raisin in order to satisfy dark urges. The ice-cream afficionado, like the murderer, can choose to refrain from acting upon this dairy impulse, but decides to succumb and commit acts of comestibility. Therefore, it stands to reason that the same mentality that possesses the murderer, also possesses the ice-cream consumer. That is a chemical imbalance in the brain brought on by environmental forces or stress.
That's your "reason" standing right there, AC, a cliched jilted TV girlfriend who might either go on a vengeful rampage or weepily curl up with a tub of Texas toffee ripple.
So the ladies must be either a banana-choc-chip type of girl or a bunny-boiler. Because both ice-cream and murder are choices!
6/1/2012 5:54:43 AM
The exception, Mudak, being that substituting Christianity for it would actually make this bilge make sense, considering how given Christians are to murder and death threats and whatnot.
As for addressing the insane troll logic, why is it that nobody can give any proof that homosexuality is a choice? Doesn't anyone think that if I could turn straight, that I would, given the societal pressure (aforementioned death threats [by Christians especially], employment risks, etc.)?
6/1/2012 6:05:32 AM
Please explain how murder is just the same as two people of the same gender willingly engaging in sex?
No, on second thought, please don't.
6/1/2012 7:00:32 AM
Homosexuality is not a choice; if you can easily "choose" to feel same-sex attraction, you're already gay or bi, no matter how reluctant you are to acknowledge it.
Ignorance, however, is most definitely a choice. And we can all see the result of AC's decision.
6/1/2012 11:49:56 AM
Ahh, a quote from conspiracy theorist kookville central.
Let's read it like this:
Conspiracy theories, like murder, are a choice.
One chooses to engage in conspiracy theories in order to satisfy dark urges. The conspiracy theorist, like the murderer, can choose to refrain from acting upon this dark impulse, but decides to succume and commit acts of vulgarity. Therefore, it stands to reason that the same mentality that possesses the murderer, also possesses the conspiracy theorist. That is a chemical imbalance in the brain brought on by environmental forces or stress.
There, that's better.
Actually, conspiracy theorists are more like homosexuals in one aspect than they are like murderers. Why? Well, murder is indeed a choice. Homosexuality is not.
Sheer and utter stupidity is also not a choice; you're born that way. So, the conspiracy theorist is born as his is, dumb, dense, void of reason, unable to learn, unable to listen, full of shit from ear to ear. He can't choose it. That's his nature.

... it stands to reason ...

Fraternal birth order effect
peer-reviewed, experiment successfully duplicated.
6/1/2012 12:14:22 PM
Your primary premise is wrong; it's not a dark urge so go fuck yourself.
6/1/2012 12:21:00 PM
Erm, no. The homosexual chooses to act on the same urges as the heterosexual does; to love and be loved. If that is dark, I don't want to know what light is.
The murderer chooses to act on the same urges as the one who wants to get rid of all homosexuals, Muslims, darkies, commies, and other people not exactly like himself.
Oh, sorry, was that just a leetle bit too close to home for your comfort, Coward?
Or are you just a Poe?
6/1/2012 12:35:29 PM
One chooses to engage in heterosexual behavior in order to satisfy what you in particular call "dark urges" Aka-sexuality. When did you choose to be heterosexual again?
P.S Murder is not the same as people having sex with someone of the same gender. False equivocation.
