What this moron should do is look up the meaning of the word "socialism" and then perhaps somewhere in the dim recesses of his brain he would realize that nothing in the current administration, executive or legislative, looks remotely like socialism.
As for European socialism, the last time I checked, the countries using it are also capitalist countries,and what is so bad about it? Cradle to grave health care coverage, guaranteed old age pensions, proper education (in some cases up to and including university), and less inequity between the rich and the poor.
Sounds way better to me than that garbage system you're advocating.
Also, for the record, some of us slightly left of center possess firearms and know how to use them. You know, as is guaranteed in the Constitution. Kind of like free speech.

Socialism is defined as social ownership of the means of production; i.e., state ownership of factories and businesses. In the US, we have "socialism" with regard to modest pensions and medical insurance for people over 65, national defense, public education and a handful of other activities such as highways and universal postal service. Aside from national defense, private capital is welcome to compete, but has shown no real enthusiasm for doing so (FedEx, for example, is happy to deliver to populated areas, but leaves it to the publicly supported USPS to deliver to farmer Jones in rural Nebraska). So, no. Neither the US nor Europe has socialism by the actual meaning of the word.
What right-wingers mean by "socialism" is the government spending money on stuff they disagree with (i.e., spending money on you instead of ME).
