What do you take:

1) Chinese archeological artefacts, structures, writings, etc, which may be fake, or
2) The Flood, for which there's absolutely no physical evidence whatsoever.

You know, this is what "falsifiability" means in science. You have something that you can make claims about. You have to be able to either prove or disprove that those things are true.

According to the Bible, the Flood happened, so logically, there should be evidence of the Flood. When you can't even find the evidence, it's worthless. You can't even begin to determine if they're real or not until you find them.

But if you go and look at Chinese artefacts, you can at least debate how old they are. Because they exist. They establish something.

Well, there was no global flood. As the ice sheets started breaking down, though, there were cataclysmic local floods (the Missoula flood, the Agassiz flood, the Black Sea flood, the Doggerland inundation, and possibly floods of the Red Sea and Persian Gulf), which is what happens during rapid global warming. But of course, fundies don't believe in that.

Actually ancient Chinese civilization (including actual writing etched on tortoise shells) not only predated the 'flood' but also the Biblical creation of the universe.

Since the Bible cannot possibly be wrong, this can only mean that the Chinese are the Old Ones, fear them!

Why pick on Australia? What have we ever done to deserve such punishment? We have enough of these mind numbingly stupid fuckwits of our own in this country to fight against their form of Fascism, and you want to send us more?

If you doubt we have crazies like this here, top this. In the Rail yards where I worked as a young man, we had a fundie who was kneeling with his bible open, in the Pit (5 foot trench in the ground enabling us to stand while working under wagons), "communing with god".

He claimed he was so enraptured with this conversation that he was not aware of, and had no memory of, the fully powered diesel Locomotive pulling a line of rollingstock over the top of him for about 5 minutes.

He was of course, sacked. On reflection I think as well as being sacked, he should have been sent to a mental health hospital where they could properly determine what was wrong with him.

Interestingly enough, the other fundies at the yards (there were approximately 700 of us there) thought he had done nothing wrong and 'praised' him. They accused the employer of 'persecuting' him.

Perhaps, Raised By Horses, we should send our fundies over to the US. A few more won't hurt surely?
