Yes. Being a college science professor requires being in touch with reality.

I don't see this as that fundie. She admits that she wishes that she can just make anything she doesn't like disappear without any consequences. Who the hell hasn't done that?
Granted, I think her wishes are stupid. But I'd be lying if I said that I didn't have any wishes or daydreams that were stupid, irrational or unfair.

Sometimes I like to daydream about what if I became an American dictator. You know, just like the Romans used to do in the Republican times when things were getting out of hand, someone who was given absolute power for a limited time, with a life-time immunity for the decissions made while in office. It worked for them, and I wonder if it would work for us. Anyhow, if I became absolute ruler for a time, I think the first thing I would do would be to get rid of all fundies in positions of power. That includes judges, congressmen and civil servants. I would not spare anybody. Then I would ask former fetus if she had changed her mind about how well this works out.

To be teaching at a university you need a Ph.D
How the fuck did you get a Ph.D in biology while believing creationism?

So she admits to not doing her job on the one hand, and to wanting the destruction of American democracy on the other. Typical Republican, really. And that is why this country is doomed.

Well, I can certainly understand why she calls herself "Former Fetus."
It was the greatest accomplishment of her life.
P.S. Kudos to the technical college for firing her fundy ass.

also, don't fundies usually bash the romans?

"Like my husband likes to remind me, I am not employed there any longer and all my attempts to return to the college and the classes that I love have been unsuccessful."
I can't imagine why that might be.

You know the Romans has a bit of a fetish for assassinating pretty much anyone in just about any office, particularly the highest ones, when they went too far, right? Just because you were the Dictator didn't mean that you weren't still accountable for your actions.
"Anyhow, if I became absolute ruler for a time, I think the first thing I would do (after overturning Roe vs. Wade) would be to get rid of all judges. I would hold special elections to replace them, but I would not spare anybody!"
And when your successor comes along and either undoes everything that you've done, or simply does a whole bunch of shit that you really don't like, then what?

Gee I wonder why? Maybe Ben Stein was right. Or you're a complete idiot. One of those.
It worked for them, and I wonder if it would work for us.
No. No, it wouldn't. Funny how conservatives claim to all be in favor of freedom and upholding the Constitution, yet they dream about a fascist dictatorship.

She still thinks like a fetus...I don't think her brain grew beyond that point.
And, uh, Ms. Fetus...we're all former fetuses...nothin' special...we didn't grow from trees or sprout from cabbage patches.

*Former* fetus? I think not. I think her brain has not progressed beyond the embryonic stage.
All the same, altogether too much of this brainwash is propagating out there. Too many of these types have been talking about resorting to armed violence if the election doesn't turn out *their* way. Quite a few have crossed the line to sedition, and I hope something is being done about it.

Some universities, in the Unites States at least, allow non-PhDs in some teaching positions. Adjunct professors, for example.
Also, she said was at a technical college, which in the United States means a 2-year community college that teaches technical skills, often to attain certifications in those fields. And the majority of their instructors them do not have PhDs and sometimes not even a Masters.
Anyway, I do get your point. She comes off more as someone who teaches biology in a small-town high school.

Except that ancient democracy, though very imperfect, was in many respects much more democratic than our own.
The term for a dictator was 1 year, his powers not absolute, and the other public offices, most importantly the tribunes of the people, also had immunities, so no, you could no do a purge.
Furthermore, it worked as intended maybe once, during the punic wars. After that, dictators came to power thanks to the army or counter-coups, and basically killed their enemies and gave opponents' land to supporters. More Mugabe's Zimbabwe than modern democracy, really.
