Another very strong proof that God is real is the fact that writing doesn't go back more than 6,000 years.

You see what I mean about God being hidden but still leaves us clues?

If we really existed as a species for thousands and thousands of years, writing should go back 50,000 years at least, possibly even 100,000 years.

Atheists say "coincidence" or "Luck. Pure luck" that the origin of writing goes back to the time that God is said to have created the universe.

but you have to ask yourself this one glaring deep troubling question, "How many times can a person say 'coincidence' or 'luck, pure luck' before it stops being a coincidence or pure luck?"

And how often do we have to tell you when writing was invented?

Self-Mutation? Interesting user name. What is it you are trying to mutate into? Something even more stupid than you are already?

Actually, writing goes back further. Everyone knows the Chinese and Babylonians didn't leave any writing for us to find. Oh, wait....

Actually, the earliest forms of proto-writings date from more than 7,000 years BCE. That puts the earliest known writings at 9,000 years ago, 3,000 years before you are claiming.

Proto-writing is a system of characters from which more modern written languages evolved.

Only very stupid atheists would say "coincidence" or "Luck. Pure luck" rather than simply telling you that your facts are wrong. If writing was traced back to exactly 6000 years, you might have a tiny point. But the earliest true writing has been dated back to 3200 years ago, proto-writing 9000 years. However, there is evidence to suggest that Neolithic cave-painters were using a very primitive form of writing. But in any case, you Young-Earthers don't believe in the validity of modern dating methods, surely?
Oh, and the answer to "How many times can a person say 'coincidence' or 'luck, pure luck' before it stops being a coincidence or pure luck?" is "an infinite amount".
Tit.

Somehow, this admitted Self-mutation seems to think petroglyphs many times that age are natural formations.

"If we really existed as a species for thousands and thousands of years, writing should go back 50,000 years at least, possibly even 100,000 years. "

What about phonographs or CDs or thumbdrives? Why don't those go back 50,000 years at least? What about holographic crystals, which haven't been invented yet? Why don't those go back at least 50,000 years?

You have to ask yourself this one glaring deep troubling question: How stupid do you have to be to think this argument makes any sense?

Writing isn't 6000 years old...

I'm not certain as to the reason, but I rather enjoy Self-Mutation's additions to this website. They deliberately devote enormous amounts of their time to promote religious or similar arguments on a board with a large proportion of atheists, using arguments that are structurally sound but based on fallacies and idiocies. They are either the most dedicated troll since the writer of My Immortal, or a hopelessly deluded fool utterly convinced of their own superiority and the inherent correctness of their arguments, no matter how much reality they must ignore. It's fascinating to watch.

Also, drawings can be considered a form of language, as they are often used for communication, and some have been found to be tens of thousands of years old. Just thought I'd add that.

Kind of calls into question why it was the devil-worshippers of Babylon that first came up with the idea, doesn't it? Or that it's those darn atheist communist chinese that are the other contestant for "oldest writing".

Writing goes way back past 6000 years ago. Just because you can't read it doesn't mean it didn't exist.

There is an amazing coincidence that a lot of things only go back about 10,000 years - and that's because most of the world was covered in a few miles thick ice sheets! Kind of hard to write on those, don't you think?

The cave drawings showing crudely drawn animals were actually left by god to test our faith. Like dinosaur fossils. Now that would make sense. No it wouldn't. Just fuckin with ya!

"Another very strong proof that God is real is the fact that writing doesn't go back more than 6,000 years."

Excuse me?

"You see what I mean about God being hidden but still leaves us clues?"

No. I don't.

"If we really existed as a species for thousands and thousands of years, writing should go back 50,000 years at least, possibly even 100,000 years."

Why, exactly?

You realize that if you don't have civilization you're essentially hunter gatherers subsisting on whatever you're lucky enough to hunt or gather that day, right? That doesn't leave a lot of time for things like writing, hence the reason it didn't develop until humans settled permanently in one location and domesticated crops and animals.

"Atheists say 'coincidence' or 'Luck. Pure luck' that the origin of writing goes back to the time that God is said to have created the universe."

I say neither of those. My explanation above is much more robust than that, and backed by evidence.

"but you have to ask yourself this one glaring deep troubling question, 'How many times can a person say 'coincidence' or 'luck, pure luck' before it stops being a coincidence or pure luck?"

You really don't have any idea about much of anything, do you?

is this guy for real...no one could be that oblivious to the truth could they?
some cave paintings ,although not 'writing', date back to 42000 years ago, proto writing has examples dating back to the 7000 BC.

"If we really existed as a species for thousands and thousands of years, writing should go back 50,000 years at least, possibly even 100,000 years."

And, you are qualified to make that judgement because...?

Also, writing didn't just happen one day, it evolved from tally marks and pictographs.
