@ Leighton: The conceit seems to be that with resources being inherently constricted, there's ultimately just two options. (1) Allow the strong to take whatever they need and/or want (if you even distinguish between the two), and let the weak suffer and/or wither and/or strengthen themselves through asceticism. (2) Spread the wealth evenly among all, which necessarily means EVERYONE will have less than enough, except illusionists secretly hoarding for themselves. Note the tacit assumption that no matter what, the weak can only ever suffer--that fatalism is probably why they manage to jettison concern for the weak from their conscience.
The illusionist bit, by the way, is probably how Lubbock gets away with the phrase "Marxist Nazi". To this lot, Marxism, and on a wider scale Socialism, is inherently hypocritical; they're convinced that "existence" and "selfishness" are somehow perfect synonyms. Only dread of retaliation and/or ostracism keeps the peace. Marxism, being hypocritical (not to mention self-contradictory), is necessarily a facade for those who wish to steal all power to themselves in a way that DOESN'T invite retaliation or ostracism. In this "true" powerlust, they are regarded as Nazis. Basically, to Lubbock, Marxism is the cloak, Nazism the true identity.

See, this is the same thing that Gonzo said when he was quoted. Gonzo blamed liberals for making him racist. Lubbock blames Obama, a President who rarely discusses race and (on the rare occasion he does) does so in the most tepid manner imaginable, for his racism. Hint: You were a racist before Obama was in office. The fact that a black man is in the White House may have brought those feelings to the surface, but they were there to begin with.
