To the extent that there is anything other than gibberish in there, it's just the usual hierarchical bullshit telling people to shut up and get in line.

Paints a picture of Jesus as a McDonalds burger flipper or a used car salesman.
Capitalism is not about meeting people's needs. It is about creating wants.
It does not produce what people need. It produces what people can pay for.
I get the feeling that, to counter all the commie-sounding stuff in the Bible, all those invectives against the rich, these people have desperately searched through the Bible to find anything that sounds remotely capitalistic, and all they can come up with is this.
Does he REALLY think that Christ's sacrifice which redeemed mankind was analogous to being a merchant peddling commodities?
It's a sort of American Christ, who started up his own business in preaching and pulled himself up by his boot-straps. Sure enough, through hard work his company, Christ Inc, exapnded all over the world and is now the leader in the religion market.
@Canadiest: Capitalism per se only developed in the last 200 years or so. Before that economies were different. Capitalism has the following features: Private ownership of means of production, employment for wages, industrialism, expansion into new markets.etc

I seem to remember a story about Jesus and the rich young ruler, let's see how did that go...how did that go?
Hmmm...
Oh yeah. He told him to give all he had to the poor and then come and follow him.
Not very capitalistic at all.

Didn't Jesus also say to pay your taxes and give your possesions to the poor.

And let's not forget Jesus' formulation of value added tax, fractional reserve banking and his advocacy of the rich getting richer.
It's all somewhere in the Epistles. Probably.

As someone who runs the service desk in a store with a 48,000 sq ft sales floor, I can assure you the customer is rarely right.
A couple months ago some old bitch tried returning some brass-colored safety pins that she had bought in another one of our stores (the location I work at wasn't even open yet) ***10 YEARS AGO.*** Mind you we have an advertised "60 days with a receipt" return policy. Do you think she cared? The pins were rusted they were so damn old and after 4 1/2 years with the company I had never even seen the packaging they were in.

What horrifies me about this is that this crap is implicit in the majority of Christian fundementalism in America.

Jesus never existed.
Mark never wrote Mark; It's a forgery.
Bryan Fischer never had a coherent thought in his miserable excuse for a life.

The forgers were still adding chapters to Mark in 400CE and you take that crap seriously.
Fascinating.

Capitalism is built on the capitalists wanting to make money and not go broke. Jesus, Mark, and the man on the moon have nothing to do with it.

I don't see any mention of a price in that quote. Sounds like Christians are supposed to serve without pay or give without recompense.
...and to give his life for ransom
So capitalists should be executed?

Actually Jesus is talking about dancing in Mark 10:45. "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve!" He sad that just before he busted some sweet dance moves.

...And then you sell shitty products that people don't need, exploit your workers, get conservatives to ease safety regulations on you, and wreck the economy a few times over. You fucking suck at serving anyone but yourselves.

Bryan is a regular on Right-Wing exposes. He couldn't possibly be anymore behind right-wing Republican agendas. Someday I hope Wilileaks or someone finds the paper-trail of taxpayers money being funneled towards the likes of Fisher, Limbaugh and Nugent that keeps them spouting such shit.

You know, if the rich and powerful actually did serve us instead of making us serve them, I'd have no problem here. But this is stupidly optimistic.

This is total bullshit! Jesus was a socialist, and capitalists can succeed by gaming the system and exploiting people.
This means that your thoughts will be included in Conservapedia's "The Bible is not Conservative Enough" re-write, as it's completely fact-free.
