Fine. You're heterocissexist, then. And it's still fucking wrong to be so.

Let me quote Shakespeare:
'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee
Take all myself.
Yup, just change the name and everything's ok again. Let's just call it "sexual orientation hygiene". Hateful bigot homophobes are all just sexual orientation hygientists. That makes them sound benevolent.
Maybe the sexual orientation hygientists can start doing what they really want to do, i.e. God's will, and find a "final solution" to the "homo question".
Oops, euphemisms don't make things better, do they?

You have no room to talk, Linda. You are one of the most mean and hateful "people" on the planet, and I use that term lightly.

It gets even better, Linda goes on to say this:
"Which Jesus is this young man talking about? He’s implying the same false faith of liberal churches today that rely on only a carefully chosen, few passages from the New Testament and ignore everything else. Its uninformed Christianity at best, and deliberately falsified at worst."
Because we all know that fundamentalist Christians don't pick and choose verses from the Bible while ignoring others.

Racist is a mean, hateful term, intended to put anyone with traditional values on the defensive, as if feeling that whites are inherently superior to blacks is a prejudice, it’s not! It reflects common sense, good judgment, sound health and strong morality.
(See what I did there?)

You say you got a real solution--
Welll, you know--
We'd all love to see the plan.
You're asking for the contribution;
Welll, you know--
We're all doing what we can...
But if go asking for backup for minds that hate;
All I can tell you is, brother, you'll have to wait!

Duh, phobia simply means fear. I think it's safe to say that Christians have a fear of homosexuals.

If you object to engaging in homosexuality, don't. If you're looking for homosexuals everywhere, maybe it's homophobia, and maybe it's reaction formation.

Homophobia is a mean, hateful practice, intended to put anyone with a functioning brain on the defensive, as if objecting to homosexuality is the right thing to do; it's not! It reflects a lack of common sense, bad judgment, poor mental health, and distorted morality.

Having never heard of this miserable cow, I did a quick Google search and inter alia found that she did a radio broadcast in which she claims there is no proof that homosexual humans even exist. On another occasion she exhorted parents not to take their kids to a gay doctor, something which supposedly cannot exist - according to her. Not that I'd give a shit, but would I even be allowed to ask a health worker about his or her sexual orientation?
These fundie morons really are blind to reality, and love making shit up, just so they can make themselves noticed. One thing is unambiguous, though. This is one mean bitch.

The litmus test for whatever sort of objective morality there might be is "am I directly putting other people into a situation detrimental to themselves, against their will?". That's what seems to be common across all cultures and makes them feel like they shouldn't be doing it. You could say its written on our hearts by god, or we evolved that way for social cohesion, or whatever, but that seems to be the universal standard.
By refusing to accept gay people, offering to "cure" them, refusing to let them get married - and in extreme cases bullying, beating, or outright murdering them, you are not demonstrating strong morality. You're demonstrating being a dick.

Ah yes, Linda Harvey. A wonderful woman. (And I mean that as sarcastically as possible.)
You can dislike the term. But the intent is the same, no matter what label you put on it. There is a group of people that simply don't like (sometimes even hate) homosexuals. And those of us that don't share this view cannot understand why you would rationally dislike homosexuality. We therefore assume it's irrational. Thus, the phobia.
For instance: While I don't agree with them, I understand the anti-abortion people. Their argument makes a kind of sense, and I can remove it from any religious, political or social context, and it would still makes sense. I happen to believe that this argument is still wrong. Especially in the early stages of pregnancy, a fetus is hardly a child. But that is my opinion, and I will not label anyone as irrational for having the opposing view.
But anti-homosexuality. That is a different thing entirely. There is not fundamentally rational argument to dislike homosexuality. I cannot think of one, I have not heard one. It must be irrational. Until I hear a good argument that is anti-homosexual, I will continue to think of it as irrational. And therefore, homophobia is a fair term.

That's a very typical MO of right-wing propagandists. Glenn Beck, O'Reilly, most Fox personalities, Limbaugh, Coulter,,,etc: They all contradict themselves often within four sentences.
They gain another set of followers with each new talking bullet and seldom lose their regulars in the process as dicernment is not a quality found in their fan base.
It took over four years for Glenn Beck to start loosing his viewers and Glenny was over the top in contradictory scenarios and claims by his second year. He still has a base remarkably.
