If statements like that don't make you doubt the existence of God, they should at least tell you the follower spouting it is a dimwit, and you can ignore anything said that isn't threatening. People spouting that kind of crap should at least have the courtesy to follow it up with, "Nernie-nernie-nernie-ner." so we'd know right off they're idiots.

Disturbingly, this guy sounds like my ex-roommate (except for the god thing; my roommate was one of those rare militant atheists).
My ex-roommate even laughed when I said I'd been raped, and then said, "Dude, guys can't be raped. Rape isn't even that big a deal."
The ensuing argument - which sounded a lot like this guy's reasoning, including "wives can't be raped," made me sick enough to pack my stuff & leave that night.

Thank you. I agree with you about that. I don't even feel comfortable with the DIAF comments.
Yes, reading something like this makes me angry, but the best solution is not for these people to get killed or hurt, but for them to come to understand why people think they are so very very wrong.
In this case, the person just doesn't seem to be able to wrap his head around what rape really is and he says incredibly stupid things because of that.
And yes, I've come across a few comments here that could be worthy of being called fundy.

There is a huge difference between a fantasy and reality. In your fantasy, you can't see being upset that a woman raped you, but in reality, you very well could be.
Hell, I couldn't see myself being upset if Gerard Butler forced himself on me, but I know in real life, I probably would be. Your fantasy would not be reality.
