While I concede that my personal "why I'm an atheist" story hasn't made it yet to PZ Myers' blog, I promise you every word of it is true.
Beyond that, it's your holy book that says that life came from rocks and dust before god breathed life into it. While we don't know exactly how life began, I assure you it was a much more interesting process than that.
And finally, please don't cite the book of Job to justify any pro-god arguments unless you want to be rebutted with "so god is a gullible, easily-manipulated passive-aggressive, asshole."

I'm an atheist, not because of something bad that happened to me, but because I couldn't figure out how the notion of God made any sense at all. Boo hoo.
I'm also a woman, although I confess that I am trans and don't have a womb, so I don't know whether I should count. Not that you'd approve of that either.
You obviously have no idea what atheism is. It isn't anger, it isn't emptiness, it isn't lack of love or anything like that. It is a philosophical position based on the ideas that beliefs must be founded on evidence and/or reason and that all arguments once believed to prove the existence of God have been shown faulty. If you want to believe in God because of faith, well good for you. I don't understand the concept of faith and I don't think I ever will. I get along just fine without it.
But I don't go around comparing people who take different philosophical positions than me to delusional criminals. I suppose that's what makes me an absurd atheist, right? The fact that I want to speak reasonably and without pathetic personal attacks?

With all sincerity they tell their sad stories and absolutely none of it is true – they are just blind and self-deluded. If you follow them you are idiotic because you are denying evidence. A moron christian thinks dust gave birth to a man whose rib bone became a woman. The absurdity of it not only denies science, it denies life itself and equates dead inanimate objects with living things. Christian dummies imagine man has no need of evidence from science. You have a mind and a brain and you need evidence. You have fallen into a tough time of doubt, but facts are still facts.

This reminds of the "Atheists Eat Babies" story I read a few years ago, which somehow claimed that a person turning away from Christianity (because atheists totally don't reject all other religions as well) used the same justifications as someone who plans to eat babies. It was hilarious and horrifying, much like this one.
