This might sound silly but I praise God for what He knows about car and motorcycle mechanics. My daughter has a clunker that has been a money pit. I just spent $80 to get the exhaust fixed and the noticed a loud clunking noise on the way to the shop. I was hoping it was just the muffler rattling. It wasn't. The muffler guy told me it was the air compressor - $900 to repair. That was the last straw and I planned on dropping the car off to a charity and take my losses. It is my daughters college car and she volunteers to help with kids at a church. She was devastated as she would have to quit that if she didn't have transportation. She and I talked about Rom 8:28 and that ALL works for good. But honestly, I was pretty bummed too. I prayed a lot about it that night. In the morning, I thought just maybe the belts could be rerouted to bypass the compressor somehow. It wouldn't have A/C but it might work. Was led to a forum and asked people who know about such things. Got an answer almost immediately - this car was designed with separate belts for power steering, alternator, fan belt, and compressor. That is rare among cars today. But it meant one cut with a knife and we had a working vehicle again. Praise God!!!

As a motorcyclist who does most of my own wrenching, I realize how little I know and how much God knows. I always make time to start these projects with prayer. There have been many "Lord I dont know where that bolt went but You do - could you enlighten me?" and it makes a great witnessing op.
