Quote# 8452

I worked as a hospice nurse for 12 years, and these accounts are accurate. It was an awesome privilege. I remember one experience that was not so awesome. A man who was known for being mean to his neighbors and then mean to our staff was sent to the ER for severe agitation during the last hours of his death. Hospice deaths are usually very peaceful, but he thrashed around that bed until the staff had no choice but to "knock him out" with morphine. We wondered if he caught a glimpse of where he was going.

Yeah, he knew he was going to the ER and wanted to stay in the hospice to die. Why would anyone send a hospice patient to the ER? Either this is a bullshit story, or this nurse is incompetent.

You mean he didn't want to go to heaven where there is no sex?

You sick bastard. I hope you are more enlightened now. Or do you still delight in others pain and misery to reinforce your personal view?

You are definitely in the wrong profession. I feel sorry for the poor souls that have to rely on your help.

You...bitch. The man was either angry or scared of the fact that he was dying, or...y'know...IN PAIN. And you sneer that he was agitated because he caught a glimpse of hellfire.

You sanctimonious, self-righteous bitch.

"Hospice deaths are usually very peaceful"
Because they're critical and already doped up?
You didn't like this guy so you withheld medication?
