When a large proporition of your presidents and their cronies tend to have way fucking more money than the average citizen, that's another.

Okay, now I know that in addition to not having read the Constitution you also haven't read the Bible either. It's not like the Bible says "Verily I say unto you gays are evil and thou must make their life miserable. The end.". There are some nice things it says too and children can talk about the Bible all they like (so long as its not interrupting class). The only thing they can't do is use it to justify bullying gays. That's hardly banning banning all free speech for Christians or banning the Bible.

As for your public education rant, teachers show our children the world around them and it's history. Telling children about current issues is not forcing it on them, it's simply providing information. Children should be free to make their own judgment on what is presented to them, including their parents teachings.

The thing about "man's standards of right and wrong" is, if you think the Bible was written by men, which all the evidence points to, then ALL standards of right and wrong are man's. What kills in my opinion is the principle of hierarchical authority itself, with some abstraction at the top which cannot be questioned and which must be sacrificed to. In that way the buck can be passed, to this "ideal" (whatever it might be, God, country, race, class, party, "freedom", "democracy") and the individual can absolve himself from his own actions. This is what all regimes of the right and left have in common; that pyramidal structure. That was also the structure of feudalism in the Middle Ages. The 20th century regimes only differed from the ancien regimes by their use of efficient modern technology and in the wide range of its application.
... also, law, rights, the constitution? all secular things.
I'm not even gonna deal with the rest of it.
