Heavens, no. Christian Conservatives never do this. Like in Beirut. Or in Northern Ireland. Or in Oklahoma City, Or in the dozens of other places they have, y'know, actually done things like this.

Neville Chamberlain (Con., Birmingham Ladywood) was a leftist?

Go learn a few things about Neville Chamberlain before ever using his name in a discussion. Here's a few hints to get you on your way:
*Consistent growth of the British military budget throughout the late 30's.
*British army in relatively better shape at the start of hostilities than any time previous in the 30's.
*Betrayal of the Munich agreement provided Britain a probable cause for war.

PasserbyThose terrorist organizations that took credit for this? All three directly contacted Will McCants... and nobody else. The first time, they were claiming credit for attacking fucking
Sweden and not Norway. When people questioned this, the 'terrorists' retracted this statement, through McCants and then he got a call from a new cell stepping up. But then everyone found out the guy who did it was white and again McCants informed the times he got a call saying, "By now, everyone should know who is really responsible." He then suggested that meant Al-Qaida.
He was most likely lying on all three counts to stir up the media and Times circulation numbers.
The Norweigans weren't 'covering up' anything. When they caught Breivik and found his manifesto painting him clearly as an ultranationalist Christian they STILL issued a statement saying they'd keep looking for an Islamic link.
Face it: The guy thought he was the kind of 'patriot' you freaks would be inspired by and now you're unwilling to see that the sword swings both ways.
You know what the Norweigan resolution to the horror was? That this wouldn't change their way of life in any way. That there would be NO religious crackdowns, racial profiling, or political witch hunts. They just out-democracied you.

Blaming Chamberlain for "appeasing Hitler" is like blaming Obama for not forseeing the Great Martian Invasion of 2013.

read history:
Chamberlain was desperately trying to save the peace in Europe since NO-ONE would come out of it unscathed. He appeased Hitler, and (shamefully) sacrificed Austria (I think) and left other countries to make consessions that were never enough. But he couldn't conceive that he was dealing with the sort of man he was dealing with, being from a generation of gentleman-statesmen.
The UK was re-arming like hell well before WW2 started.

Michael Savage is your source? You might as well listen to David Icke. Savage thinks *everything* that happens is part of the Gay/Muslim/Atheist/Feminist/Mexican Conspiracy.

Well Christ, if this evil "socialistic" government allows you your free opinion, even if it is blatantly and completely wrong, without going after you to kill and censor you, go fascist socialism?
Seriously, if everything was as evil and fascist and "communist" (seriously, I fucking hate people who use that term and don't think about what it is) as your lot so often claim, you'd all be dead by now.

No! No! Not reality! Pay no attention to the real perp, pay attention to my hand inside this puppet typing out this stupid conspiracy theory. Believe in the ridiculous notion that talking snakes exist, people can be healed from prayer, people rise from the dead, and people walk on water! It so much more plausible than the hardcore reality that AngusT lives in a delusion and that, factually, Breivik did it. Admitted it, even. Struggle to keep the hope alive that people will hate those damn Muslims more than they dislike your sorry ass.

What is the point of terrorism if the real terrorists don't claim responsibility? Even if the governnment were the real terrorists, they're still not muslims. Please find some evidence to support your deranged theories.

Was the guy's 1500-page manifesto too subtle for you? Maybe it'd have been better had he tattooed the cross onto every part of his body.

But Breivik admitted it, and wrote a manifesto, even!
I am actually quite pleased that the fundie conservatives are trying their damndest to blame this on Muslims and exonerate Breivik, as it means they are showing their true colors. There will probably be a massive anti-conservative backlash in the US now (finally!) Maybe now we'll finally get things done?
...and the fact that Christian conservatives never do this sort of thing.
Ha ha ha! No True Scotsman at its finest, ladies and gentlemen.

I cannot actually believe this. It IS too batshit for Conservapedia. I always thought it was a dishonest, badly written, silly but entertaining site which might reflect what conservatives really believe, but without being TOO extreme.
This just puts them into the same territory as the worst, most badly realized conspiracy ranting internet bullshit.

It reminds me of this, from Orwell's "Notes on Nationalism": "One prod to the nerve of nationalism (or in this case, political bias in favour of conservatives) and the intellectual decencies can vanish, the past can be altered, and the plainest facts can be denied".

And this: "The nationalist not only does not disapprove of atrocities committed by his own side, but he has a remarkable capacity for not even hearing about them... Every nationalist is haunted by the belief that the past can be altered... Material facts are suppressed, dates altered, quotations removed from their context and doctored so as to change their meaning. Events which, it is felt, ought not to have happened are left unmentioned and ultimately denied". and lots more in this vein, see Orwell, "Notes on Nationalism".
