So much fail... so little time to refute it all. But I will try; wish me luck.
Without beating around the bush, I believe the battle being fought in America today goes beyond politics; right vs left. It is a spiritual battle; good vs evil.
You have just broken the one rule of rational political discourse, which is, that assuming your political opponents do not advocate dictatorship, they are NOT evil, and your own side is not squeaky-clean either, because people are human. One would be more accurate in saying that it is a battle of good vs. evil, but that the left is good and the right is evil, but even this is not actually the case. As hard as it is to believe at times, there are some old-fashioned (that is, non-neocon) conservatives who actually believe in small government and personal responsibility, and I have no problem with that. So you can't apply black and white morality to politics unless one side is a fascist or a communist.
The mindset of the American left is a spirit of Antichrist which is man making himself God.
Before writing me off as a Bible nut, please hear me out.
No, and no. You don't understand one thing about your opponents. Why should I hear you out?
Understanding this reality will explain much of the left's behavior. Because they believe man is God, in their insane arrogance, the left think they can fix everything; legislate equal outcomes and even save or destroy the planet.
You do realize that most liberal Democrats in the United States are Christians, right? Oh wait, you're just gonna give the hand wave that they're not "True Christians" even though the definition of a "True Christian" changes whenever it is politically convenient for the Religious Right. As for "saving or destroying the planet" while that is an exaggeration, climate change is based on sound science, as opposed to neocon-approved oil-company-funded right-wing interpretations which will cause disaster.
Make no mistake about it folks, we are in a spiritual battle. Ask yourself. Specifically, what about Sarah Palin inspires such visceral hatred from the left? The word is “wholesome”.
No, the word is "stupid". She, Michele Bachmann, and Christine O'Donnell make up the triumvirate (triumfeminate?) of stupid and willfully ignorant female Republican politicians. Another word that the left associates with Palin is "fear", as in, they fear the consequences of large sections of the electorate being completely unable to see through Palin's stupidity.
While realizing Palin is human and does not walk on water, Palin epitomizes heartland principles and values embraced by most Americans. Thus, we are Palin and Palin is us.
You make it sound like Americans are mostly conservative except for a small minority of "liberal agitators". Nothing could be further from the truth. Right now, I'm just relieved that fundies like you are not in the majority in this country, and never have been. Palin most certainly does not stand for American values; she is too ignorant to understand anything! Way to insult most of the country there! And nice Freudian slip in that first sentence. Now we know what you folks really think of the Tea Party. How blasphemous.
The large number of Christians in the tea party believe in right and wrong. The left has a huge problem with the concept of right and wrong. Their religion of Liberalism embraces Moral Relativism. For these reasons, Palin and tea party are as repulsive to liberals as showing Dracula the cross.
The Tea Party and neoconservative sense of right and wrong is skewed beyond all recognition. To them, ignorance is the highest good, as that way it is easier for megacorporations to control the masses using religion and indoctrination. That is also why they oppose absolutely everything that would improve America and demonize the opposition. (Remember, what I said about there being no good and evil in politics only applies if one side DOESN'T support dictatorship, but these guys want either a theocracy, a corporatocracy, or both.) Liberals, on the other hand, have no problems with right and wrong. Not only is liberalism not a religion, but not all liberals are moral relativists. I am not one; I happen to believe that certain things like killing, rape, slavery, or other violations of human rights are always wrong, regardless of whether or not the perpetrator comes from a culture that understands that. (Really, I think that the extreme cultural relativists give other liberals a bad name. But I don't see Mr. Marcus here calling out extremists on the conservative side. That's rather telling.)
Obama's promise to “fundamentally transform America” is a spiritual attack on our freedom, liberty and culture.
Despite the left's relentless attempts to ban God from America's public square, the emergence and power of the tea party tells me God is still on our side.
No, the Tea Party, Religious Right, and neoconservatives are an attack on American freedom, liberty and culture. You are a small minority which has nevertheless dragged down the reputation of the country and sullied its good name... not to mention all your attempts to lower education standards to nonexistence. There are also tons of statistics pointing out the hypocrisy of the Bible Belt, and that the liberal parts of the country have much lower divorce, teenage pregnancy, and child abuse rates. That should tell you something, Mr. Attack on the American Way of Life. This last thing is really minor, but recognizing that freedom from religion is the flipside of freedom of religion is far from banning talk of God from the public square. If that were the case, then Christians and others would be rounded up and sent to concentration camps, if not outright murdered in the streets. I do not see that happening, do you? The emergence and power of the Tea Party only means that we as a country are a total failure, and need to get our act together NOW. You people are just racist reactionaries pissed off that a black man is president. Don't try to deny it; how else can one explain the sheer persistence, intensity, and vitriol of the protests, not to mention the constant conspiracy theories doubting Obama's citizenship, that only began after Obama's inauguration. This stuff goes above and beyond the protests against any other Democrat in recent history (and Obama is probably even less liberal than Clinton was) so it can only be racism. Thank you for demonstrating that you are the scum of the Earth.
