This was right at the front end of the AIDS epidemic and pastors who care were reading everything they could find out because I happened to have believed - and haven't changed by mind - that it was a judgment as a result of an immoral act.

It was interesting, in those days it was still largely called GRIDS: Gay Related Immune Deficiency Syndrome. And to this very day, the overwhelming majority of those who are transmitting that disease are still homosexuals. It is a homosexual disease.

It's difficult to imagine what heinous deeds were committed by who must have been the most villainous individuals to have ever walked on Earth. What hideous acts these nefarious criminals must have performed, what fouls sinners they must have been. Indeed, the vileness of their deeds must have been almost incomprehensible, perhaps stopping just short of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. But, whoever these cads were, it doesn't really matter. For a woman, having sex with a man has a 45% chance of giving you HIV, whereas having sex with another woman only has a 1% chance or so--low enough that the CDC doesn't even list lesbian sex under its table of AIDS risk factors!

No it isn't a "homosexual disease." That's a damned lie. Has this idiot never heard of the African AIDS crisis? (And if it weren't for our own ancestors having survived several major brushes with the plague seven hundred years back, I think we'd be facing infections rates fairly similar to Africa: http://www.wired.com/medtech/health/news/2005/01/66198)

AIDS is a virus. It doesn't care if the host is gay or straight, male or female, adult or child.
