Just a hint, "vesperbot": Faulty extrapolation of perceived "trends" has bankrupted countless wannabe stock traders...
And it was already mentioned: Liberal families are usually much more happy and harmonious than conservative, "traditional" families. Conservative families are mainly occupied with conforming and keeping a nice facade to the outside, while liberal families do things like respecting each other, listening to each other, discussing problems instead of "I am the head of the family!", and countless things more.

I've a coworker and friend who is strongly considering divorcing her husband, not because she (or her husband, for that matter) is gay (they're not) but because he's gone from run-of-the-mill christian (like her) to hardline conservative bible-thumper and started treating her like the bible says he should -- like shit.

Is this the 'traditional' family with the single working parent most likely suffering under the harsh judment of their neighbours?
Is this the 'traditional' family with an overbearing father that slaps his wife when she speaks out of turn?
Is this the 'traditional' family with 6 or more kids? (Wealthy Old South status symbol. Everywhere else, a struggle to get by.)
Is this the 'traditional' family where boys follow their fathers, girls are married off at 14, and wives stay in the kitchen no exceptions?
Is this the 'traditional' family of always single-race parentage, preferably in their own cozy part of town away from others outside their enthnicity?
Is this the 'traditional' family that will disown children that have religious differences?
Is this the 'traditional' family that moved on with the damned times and no longer thinks it's the early 1950's?
Or is this the traditional family with parents and children, natural or adopted, that they will love and cherish and do their best to give them a future in this world?
If it's the last two, then you have nothing to worry about so long as people like you stay the hell away from them.

Actually, the "traditional family" is kinda turning into a minority over here, among people under 40 or so.
People don't feel the NEED to marry any more; they marry if they want to, or just live together for ages.
People have children out of wedlock all the time, I've been to quite a few marriages where the children of the bride and groom have been flowergirls or -boys.
But none of that has anything to do with homosexuals, and much more to do with our co-habitation laws, that are almost as good as marriage laws. And that The Church has lost its power over people.

Unless we suffer a huge genetic drift, such as through a catastrophe where most of the survivors are homosexuals, I can't foresee opposite-sex couples EVER being in the minority. And even if that happens, gay people — as you all often like to boast — don't reproduce as much as straight people, and the ones that do, don't generally beget gay children, so the gay population would likely return to its current percentage within several generations. You fail epically!
