I wish that every right-wing fundie would be forced at gunpoint to recant their insane 'faith', and become Atheists. I think the USA would be better for it.
...what's that, Mike Fuckabee? Sounds nasty? almost like 'Persecution'?
Well now you know how you sound to everyone else.
One thing that should be forced on US news programmes (especially Faux News): Neutrality.
'Opinions' have no place on TV news. Only present the facts, and let the viewer work things out for themselves. BBC News and Reuters do so. It wouldn't kill the US to do the same.
PROTIP: Better pray that nobody had a digital audio recorder at that conference you spoke at, Mr. Fuckabee. Or a miniature video camera (they're even pen-sized). You'd soon learn what our politicians here in the UK realised years ago: there's no such thing as 'Off the Record' anymore.
...and don't dare come out later on with 'My words were taken out of context' or similar bullshit. 'Out of Context'. The standard transparent excuse of those caught saying what they shouldn't.
The US Constitution's Freedom of Speech doesn't mean you can say what you really mean. Not if you value your standing in civilised society/career/life.
The US Constitution doesn't guarantee that people will ignore what you think of them, Mr. Fuckabee. Nothing can protect you from public opinion, nor their change in attitude towards you as a result.

'Never allow people to give you their opinion. The trouble is, they'll tell you.
-Nick Abbot, LBC Radio presenter
'Opinions are like arses: everyone has one, but not everyone wants to air theirs in public. They certainly don't want yours shoved in their faces.'

But but but...we have biased news outlets like Fox News and right wing talk radio for a reason. Why, both came into existence in reaction to the outrageous liberal bias (read: neutral, fact-based reporting) of outlets like CNN in the 90s."
(*smacks forehead*)
Oh, of course, how stupid of me? I forgot: the poor Repubicans, Teabaggers, Neocunts, Religious Right, trailer-trash Redneck inbreds et al don't have brains to be able to work things out for themselves; they need to be spoon-fed 'opinions', so they can know what to think. Thinking for themselves makes the brainmeats all hurty, the poor little 'hoemskuled' loveykins. Dere dere, mummy will switch over the channel to take away da nasty BBC America News, with their naughty 'Neutral' and 'unopinionated' news, and put it on Faux News. Because it does the thinking for you.
